I guess living in California has its perks when its comes to the Mexican culture - We have no desire to shop for trinkets, blankets, sombreros, trashy t-shirts, or anything else made in China and sold in Mexico as authentic. Everything there is sold in our flea-markets or Mexican neighborhoods at a cheaper price. Some of the custom jewelry and one off art is great but not the easiest to find and can be overly pricey. Authentic Mexican Food - We'll pass, California ingredients are so much fresher and of higher quality that the Mexican food at any number of restaurants, taco trucks, or taquerias is significantly better than the food we have eaten in Mexico. There now serving Oaxacan food here so we can get some of the stranger stuff like chapolinas and of course cesso tacos off the taco trucks. And We're not going to Cancun to eat Japanese, French, Italian or other Cosmopolitan gourmet food. That leaves us with off-site adventures and what were vacationing for - mainly to relax and re-charge so we go home and be better parents and kick ass employees. Our day to day lives our full of schedules and needing to be at the right meeting at the right place at the right time - We prefer to relax and if something strikes our fancy - we go for it and try not to plan ahead. And there is the herd mentality of tours - private tours is the only way to go. The more off the beaten path the better. We also refuse to support animal abuse so will not pay to swim with sharks or dolphins or have our photos taken with any animal that is escorted from resort to resort. So yeah - you will see us on the beach or in a lounge chair around the sexy pool kickin it. You may even catch us at a club in the Hotel zone as the only thing that grows old at Temptation is the DJ & PatyO's.
