Well I make a quick looking around on T.A. LET ME Tell you are fuckers from Quebec city are a bounch of liar!!! OMFG! Never saw bad reviews like this! each time I read then I don't even need to look their profil to know rhey are from quebec! most of the bad reviews on TA are from idiots who didn't do their own research. TTR is not for everyone. never take only one person's review as the entire truth.
The best thing to help is do your own trip review and hope others see enough of the good to outweigh the bad. There is some truth to what is in the reviews, but the overall theme of the resort makes up for the rest 10-fold.
TTR is usually near capacity (recent thread talks about getting bounced to diff hotel from overbooking) - WE do not need more people filling the rooms! we changed a booking from GOV a couple weeks ago (their bad reviews seem spot on, still going through conversion) to TTR and were lucky there were still rooms. SO GO AWAY its horrible!
I wonder if GOV is posting bad reviews of TTR to try and funnel business from TTR to their resort instead...just an idea. Do people really do that?
Seems to me that all TTR needs to keep at near capacity is the good word of mouth it gets from this forum/website:mnm:. I didn't realise that people still take tripadvisor seriously:icon_wink:. Reading through a few of the bad reviews on TA I have come to the conclusion that these people seriously failed to do their holiday research, i understand clearly from my own research that TTR is not to everyone's taste , however... We like to:lotsofmichaelfs: and enjoy a few :ernaehrung005:Whilst meeting new folks from around the globe:wave:. so i think we will do just fine without the need to rely on the crappy reviews from a minority of on TA. I really doubt most of the reviewers on TA have been anywhere near TTR or any other resort for that matter. They are very similar to the people that hack into your facebook account, not for $$$, but just for the fun of it. They get a thrill out of bashing a resort, knowing lots of folks are going to be reading it. Maybe Steve can remember, but about 10-12 years ago, the Cancun Forum on TA had a real problem with this type of thing. That and professional trip report writers !!!
