I'm still detoxing from the trip so don't think my brain is up to a full trip report. No pics yet, still have to go through and find the "family friendly" ones. Ok on to the summary.... One word Awesome! We had a great time, but as everyone has said it's definitely the people that make this resort so great. We met up with Brenda, Justin, Roy and Teri(Ranger), and Jesse (Zurc) from the board, and met other great people like Maria and Nathalia, and Brenda's friend Demarcus who we told about the board and may show up. If I'm missing anyone, I'm sorry, as I said still trying to get all the alcohol out of my system. We had a blast every night, probably a few too many tequilla shots(if there is such a thing as too many) Weather could have been better but still wasn't bad. Some rain here and there which made for perfect naptimes so we would be refreshed and ready to go for the evenings. Had one day where the high was only 73 that felt pretty cold since that was the day we did the Isla Mujeres trip. *Tip - If it's going to be cold, go on another day, when you're wet and the boat is moving it feels twice as cold . Staff did a good job trying to get everyone involved, Jesse (Zurc) seemed to participate in just about everything I saw. I was a little more reserved and limited myself to Beach Volleyball, Water Basketball, Pingpong, and Smartass Trivia. I did dress up for Casino night though, there's probably some pictures floating around of a guy with nothing but a cowboy hat held on by a belt and the prayers of every person in the room. Went to Coco Bongo's Monday night and that was crazy, very cool show. It reminds me of a combination of some various shows and stuff you would see in vegas, but you're right on top of it. Very crowded though and I'm usually not good in those situations. Would definitely recommend going to see it at least once, don't know if I would go with the Tempations group, we were all crammed into a tiny area where we had to stand anyway, and the waiters had a hard time getting to. Some of the ones in our group just moved to the main area and said they were getting drinks constantly down there. Would definitely go again, has already been some talk about a repeat trip. And I want to say thanks to everyone on the board for all of your advice, was definitely helpful. Ok, have to go pretend to work for a little while, I'll post more as I think of it.
Glad to hear about your trip and look forward to your pics. 73 degrees would feel great compared to the freezing rain and snow we have had this week.
Can't Wait So glad to hear that you had a great time. I cannot wait...13 days. Last time I was there (2 yrs ago), they had such a great "cast", I was a little worried they wouldn't measure up. In fact, my hubby wanted me to book Cabo where at least one cast member transferred to but they do not open until Feb. [/b]
