(I tried to post this in the review section but it said I didn't have access to do that)
We traveled to TTR December 9-14, it was our first (and not going to be our last) trip! We flew in on Frontier Airlines, the only non-stop flight I could find. We arrived 45 minutes early and were pleased to find that customs was not busy and we were able to get right through. Because we were early we waited about 20 minutes for our transportation from USA Transfers, not bad considering. We had a great driver that took us straight to the resort as requested! We booked TTR on a referral. We arrived at the resort around noon and we were pleased that our room was already available! (Perk of travel in December I would guess) We scheduled 2 dinners with Martha in the Premier office and set up our required presentation for using a referral.
Room: We were escorted to our room which was super nice, since it was our 1st time there and had no idea where anything was. We have been to other resorts that just give you a map and 30+ minutes later they bring you your bags. The 1st room we had was 5224 – nice room, garden view, close to the sexy pool. The sink was in the main room with a counter that ran the whole length of the room. It was a great height for uh…doing your make-up. The vanity had the same problem as most every other hotel that we’ve stayed at…the lighting sucks! Every hotel in the Caribbean must use the same designer that thinks you want to get ready in the dark. This room also had no door for the toilet, not an issue for us but some may not like that. After 2 nights we upgraded to an Ocean View Room, #3306, LOVED this room. One of the best views we ever have had. It overlooks the sexy pool. With the doors closed it kept most of the noise out during the day, enough that I wasn’t bothered by the music when we were in the room. The chair in the room is definitely a perk!
Food: There are a total of 5 restaurants – The buffet; 2 that require reservations (Asian & Italian); & 2 that are 1st come, 1st serve (Tex-Mex & Seafood). The Tex-Mex also serves lunch. We went to the buffet, Asian, Italian, and the Tex-Mex for lunch. I was surprised that the Asian did not have a Hibachi Grill, it is strictly a sit down restaurant, but it is a great meal! Italian is easily a 2 hour meal so plan accordingly! We liked every meal that we had. This was probably the 1st trip that we have taken where we had no stomach issues at all. PatyO’s has a really nice buffet set up in the evening until about 4:00 am. They also grill hot dogs and hamburgers. So good after hours of drinking and partying!
Staff/Facilities: The staff was amazing. They were constantly working to keep all the guests happy and diligently working on the upkeep of the resort. My husband usually went down to the Sports bar for our drinks while at PatyO’s in the evenings. His favorite bartender was Jack. It was typically slow in there so he got fast service and Jack memorized his drinks of choice quickly! I know a lot of people complain about the property and how out of date it is. We have stayed at other resorts and I did not see that this resort was as run down as people complain about. Maybe I just never was in the right areas or was too drunk to notice.
Gym: While small it was one of the better gyms that we have utilized on vacation. Plenty of cardio equipment but they could do with a little better set up for weight training. There is also a path just outside the resort for walking/running/biking that is really nice. Especially since you don’t need to cross the busy street to get to it!
Our Experiences: I loved being at a resort where we could enjoy ourselves and let loose. There was a decent mix of people at the pool being topless and wearing tops. I was a little worried about feeling self-conscience being topless or wearing the outfits for theme nights. But from the moment I stepped onto the property that totally went away. There was no gawking or staring, I never felt uncomfortable. A few days into the trip I realized why…the energy of confidence at the resort is unbelievable. I have never been around so many confident, sexy people. There really is no judgment! I wish in the real world that there were this many people of all shapes and sizes that were so confident. It is contagious.
I never felt that security was over-bearing. They did seem to turn a blind eye to some things and the one time my husband got a no-no-no it was with a smile. We made sure to be fully informed of where we were going and what we were getting into before we went on our trip. We also talked a lot about boundaries and what we ok with/not ok with. We also went with no expectations except for having a good time. We met others that had a) no idea what they booked, b) had not talked about boundaries, or c) expected to “hook-up” every night. These 3 things can and did lead to disappointment. Being on CancunCare was a big icebreaker for meeting people...and I guess I look just like my picture because I got a lot of "you're breedlove711 from the forum, right" Ha! My guess is that it's the red hair.
The Boobs Cruise ~ a must do! It was so much fun…definitely takes the party up a notch! We did not stop for shopping on Isla and I am glad. We had perfect weather and the ocean was pretty calm.
We typically hung out for most of the day with just the 2 of us and did some mingling with others. Then at PatyO’s met up with the friends we made to party and have a good time. That was one of my favorite things about this resort – there is plenty of opportunity for quiet, alone time and also for hanging out and partying. It is exactly what we had been looking for! Although that made for serious lack of sleep while we were there! We met some really awesome people while we were there who definitely made our vacation even better. We can’t wait until our next trip!

Nice report. We usually fly that same Frontier flight, and it seems like it always arrives early. We flew it the day after Thanksgiving this year, for $132 per person, round trip.

Didn't know there was a perfect height for doing makeup, but I will be sure to ask my wife if she agrees next trip ;)
