I wouldn't want it couples only either. We travel with friends that are single, and have met some really great people that are/were single at the time. I'd like to see more couple games. That doesn't mean that they had to come together. You have to admit some of the funniest and most entertaining games are the ones they have couple/teammates in. I love the people at TRC this year just left me a little upset. I said I'd like to check out resorts and see what else is out there before returning to TRC again.
I believe most everyone on this site feels pretty much as you do. We're sorry you happened to catch the resort when they had some pain in the ass guests; could of course happen to any of us. Fortunately I think it's pretty unusual. We've always met great folks, married, single, whatever. And you're right, the couples games are hilarious! Best of luck if you do try other resorts; TRC could maybe use a little honest competition. I've seen other people on here asking if there are any other resorts with more or less the same theme; the consensus has been, not so much. And thanks for the honest perspective you gave on your trip report. It's always good to hear the good and the fun parts; if something isn't quite right, that's good info to have too.
From 1Smokey's post is sounds like you hit the worst week in history. So the next time you go back I bet you'll find a drastic difference for the better.
