Going back to the singles debate I doubt anyone has a problem with singles per se. The problem is not with singles at all, it's a problem with large single sex groups, almost always guys and mostly British. Before anyone jumps on me for singling out the Brits I am British myself. I know in the UK it has been 'traditional' for 20 years or more for large groups of 'lads' in their late teens / early twenties to go on holiday together - often it's the football or cricket teams end of season get together or sometimes a stag (batchelor) party. Favourite places used to be Spain, Greek Islands and Cyprus. Many resorts there have become virtual no go areas for regular tourists because of the excessive drinking, anti social behaviour and violence all three of which seem to be prevalent in far too many 20 something British males. Many hotels in Europe will not accept single sex groups of more than say 4 in a group, it would be easy for TTR to follow suit if they wanted to. My guess is they'd rather tolerate these kind of groups than empty rooms.
Steve I think you hit the nail on the head. I don't believe they want to get rid of all singles by any means. There isn't anything wrong with singles but let's be honest if the ratio of guys to girls is 10:1. How many people really would sign up to be there. I realize that many of you single lifestylers, lol, enjoy TRC regularly and love the place but would you go if thier were only single guys there? As a couple we like being social and friendly but if a group of guys is going to ruin our vacation and it is a regular thing at any resort we will start going else where. As this happens more and more you are left with a bunch of guys because not even single girls want to be out numbered 10:1. Well I say that but I don't know, the single girl that traveled with us this year did enjoy that but here at home when the number of guys great out weighs the number of girls you know the bar is going down hill. So I think the resort is just trying to keep it balanced.

Thanks for your perspective on the single Brits thing, Steve. It explains a few things. The newspaper has had articles saying essentially the same thing. We've met a lot of absolutely great singles, male & female, on our various trips there. Several were indeed Brits, and many from US & Canada. They add a lot to the resort and we've always found them to be very friendly but certainly respectful. We have seen a couple "weird" types, the ones hiding somewhere with their $1000 camera (not to start THAT debate again). Really sorry the big group of singles made Mile/Melissa uncomfortable; never met them but from their posts they seem like a nice couple and it sucks to see Temptation regulars looking elsewhere. But no one goes on vacation to feel uncomfortable at their chosen resort. It does seem that Mario or someone might try to address this; as Steve says, the resort hates empty rooms. It all comes down to common sense and courtesy, two things it's almost impossible to legislate.
I played naked tequilla volleyball on the 12th too. I was on chinos team. Your right there was alot of singles there and yes were did get asked if we were swingers a couple of times too. We hung out with alot of single both female and male, They were great people.There were a couple bad apples in the bunch but for the most part most singles I talked to said that their travel agent told them it was a good place for them to go. We had a great time. We also loved the rain on school girl night. I probably saw you two but never met you. Maybe next time.
Sad to hear about the bad times. We had some similar situations on our trip. There was one guy from a big group of single guys that would make a b-line for my girl everytime we got seperated in the crowd at the sexy pool or Paty-O's, and after she told me about the kind of crap he was saying to her and about me I challanged him to cock-off right in front of the whole table at Paty-O's (back home I would of just beaten his ass, but not in Mexico ofcourse). I whipped it out first, and fortunately I'm freakishly well endowed to say the least and he backed out like I knew he would since he was little dickless metro-bi-sexual weasel, and not a peep out of him or his boys for the rest of the trip. I'll do it all over again next year if I have too. Hopefully by then TTR gets it together or it will be our last trip there as well.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there AREN'T enough places already for single travellers so bravo for Temptation and other such places, the other one or two that exist lol. I understand some wanting to complain about obnoxious drunk guys who hit on wives, gfs etc but married men can fall into that category too. What gets my blood to boiling is when the writers of this post say to the effect that they would prefer a couples resort without singles. That is unfair, and sooo wrong when couples have way more choice of resorts than we do.
I'm entitled to my opinion, though I never said singles didn't have the right to go where ever they chose. I have a problem with large groups of guys being a holes. It doesn't bother me when one hits on my wife it is nice. But, when they decide they want to fight others there is where I draw my line. So stop crying I gave a review of my week and my current thoughts if you don't agree get over it. Everyone doesn't always see eye to eye. Just a fact of life.

Thanks for the TR guys... If I could I'd suggest that you try TR 1 more time. The large groups of singles are rare in what we've seen. Most of the trouble we've seen in our trips there (5 times) have been drunken idiots of both the married and single variety *L* Steve, I'd say that if you get any group of guys together, British, American, Canadian, Welsh, etc... most of the time they will end up acting like D!cks. With an increase in testosterone there is a sharp decrease in the collective IQ.
