OK. Here we go: DAY1 I got to Philly airport around 10AM and caught the 11:40 flight which put me into Cancun around 3PM. Had two gin and tonics on the plane and took a 45 min. nap. so I was rested for the evening and ready to roll! I linked up with one of the shuttles and got to Temptation around 3:45.. I was given my room key and jetted to the room... Very clean, deluxe with a king bed. The A/C and everything worked. I immediately gave Steve a buzz and we decided to do lunch the next day around 1PM. I changed into my beachwear and headed out to the pool for a few drinks at the sexy pool! It was late so it wasn't real busy but I had a few beers and mingled a little bit. The topless heir about the resort really hits you in the head like a brick but you get used to it very quickly :lol: :lol: Quite a large crowd from Canada I must say! I met two gorgeous girls from Toronto and Vancouver that were there who were NOT a couple but were pretty open minded. I was a little tired from the trip.. but they offered to drink a lil' and see what happens. VERY Good move.. :wink: :wink:. We did our thang and they left around 12:00, so I just hit the hay. DAY2 Woke up around 8AM thinking it was later than it was, so made the best of the morning and grabbed some breakfast which was good. I'm a nutrition freak so I did fruit, some carbs, and toast and was ready for another drink! I got a screwdriver to wake me up. The food was very good at the buffet. By 10 I was out at the pool, ready for the wild entertainment staff to begin their shenanigans. They do a good job putting on a show but I didn't participate because I burn! Next thing I knew it, I had changed back into my Khakis and a nice polo for some drinks with Steve and a Business meeting that I had set up loosely online with one of the Managers at Pat O Briens. (I am hosting the BEER OLYMPICS in March as a Spring Break event there). Steve scooped me punctually at 1PM and we headed into the hotelzone at Punta Cancun where it was a beautiful day, lots of people and activity. We sat down at a small corner bar and had quite a few drinks before heading to Slices for yet another! After shooting the breeze with Steve, just catching up.. I stopped down at Pat O Briens for my meeting and then hopped on the bus and went back to the Resort.. THE WHOLE TIME talking to some of the finest women in Cancun all over the place. This is where it starts to get a little grey. I believe I stumbled back to Temptation and met up with Rob and Diana somewhere along the line. And a few other people I had met earlier at the pool: Trevor from Vancouver who was the LIFE of the party.. and JOHNNY F'N WATTERS.. who is Johnnyshark from the boards...and a few others, excuse me if I have left you out so far hahaha. ANOTHER FINE HOTTIE came back to the rooooom for a little boom boom at this point, but that's all I remember. Sobered up and showered, Then I met Paul and his wife from New York at the bar. They were so friendly and invited me to join them for dinner with their friends. We sat down to dinner and then I tipped another few shots before heading to Hard Rock! I saw Sean and Ivon the next day at the pool and they were friendly as well. Such a great atmosphere. I emailed Hard Rock Cafe a few weeks ago because their house band is AWESOME and I'm a rock drummer. I ended up over there mezmerized by how good they were at around 10:15 PM and then I sat in. I did Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns and Roses which is my fav. song and thanked them and left. Drank a little more, drank a little more, and then that puts me at the end of Day 2!! HA. Side Note: I met this guy Lauren from Denver the night before and he headed out with two OTHER girls also from Canada.. Day 3 was :michaelf: NEW YEARS EVE, I got up around 10AM and headed to make dinner reservations. It's an awkward moment playing musical chairs in line to make a reservation and people were joking around about it. I headed right to the pool from there and had a few drinks. I believe this was the day that I ran into Nick and Autumn eventually but I could stand corrected. They were both so friendly and sociable which was cool, and already hanging out with my buddy Trevor. It was great that we could just meet up and all of a sudden have something in common. I hung out at the pool and took a dip and then headed to the buffet for lunch where I met with another 2 guys from Vancouver (Jon and Steve) who I had met on day 1 that were very friendly. We ate and had a glass of wine and then parted ways. I believe I went back to the room and hit the shower, took a nap, and then mistakenly changed into my Budweiser and Seventy Sixers Pajamas thinking that the Casino night was tonight.. but I quickly realized it wasn't. At around 5:15 I ran into my buddy Lauren again who was with Rose and Lia (The second two girls from Canada) again.. and we all downed about 4 glasses of wine at an 'early dinner' and some Champagne while mingling. A little somethin' somethin' took up a good 2 hours after this :lol: :lol: and then I went back to MY room, showered, and dressed in my nicest shirt and shoes for 2009! I also had a reservation at 9:30PM at Tex Mex. They served me the lobster (free upgrade) which was pretty good. I then headed to Paty-O where I mingled the night away and counted down until 2009 with my red balloon in hand and resolutions tied to the string! There was a live band there but they were just OK. Too much drinking and shots went on during this time with Trevor and JohnnyShark for me to remember exactly how the rest of the night went. I ran into Paul and his wife, Sean and Ivon, but there was alot other of friendly people. Some in suits, others in T's and Jeans.. DAY 4 AND DEPARTURE NEXT UPDATE!

Glad to hear that you ended up going Nicky! and we are glad to hear it is working out so well! have a blast tip some back for us and know we are here freezing our asses off counting the days until we are there!
Heh I am back home in Philly heh :lol: , but already planned my next trip.. My post was a bit misleading.. I just haven't had time yet to finish the whole thing.
well get after it! lol for all us poor slobs that are counting the minutes until we can get to paradise. hanging with new friends and a cold drink in hand
