Flew in from LA on Delta arriving to the airport at 3:30PM. We were traveling with a group of 15, but on 3 different flights. Ours arrived first and we had the usual 45 minute wait through Mexican immigration. Rule one, try not to arrive midday on Saturday, the airport is packed.. After getting our bags, the next line up is at the customs, I got the green light, our whole group did and on our way. Bypassed all the knuckleheads at the door and ran to the orange shirt guys of Olympus, 25 bucks each round trip. From the airport to the hotel and our return trip the next Saturday were without problem.

Checked in around 5:00 PM Saturday, check in was quick, and our rooms were ready. Had room 1221 second floor on the wing by the quiet pool, but on the side that faces Margarita's with a nice ocean view from the balcony. There was a refrigerator in the room, it was never stocked the entire week, totally empty. Bought a few bottles of water from the little store across the street form the hotel. The room was clean, a little musty as always, we took 4 Renuzit air fresheners and put them in the corners, that took the edge off the musty smell. The AC worked well, the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water all week. All in all the room was fine. The balcony had a couple nice chairs and a table, alot better than the cheap plastic crap they had last year.

The food was actually a lot better than lst year. You can get up real early and get a Continental breakfast at Margaitas from 6-7 AM, helpful if you are going on an early excursion. Breakfast at the buffet was OK, the omelet girl Yasni or something like that did pretty good. Left her a nice tip at the end of the week. The rest of breakfast was the same everyday, kind of dull but filling. Lunch you have the option of the buffet or ordering of the menu at Margaritas, we did both. Margaritas for lunch isnt bad, the buffet again was ok for lunch but kind of the same thing everyday.

Dinner was actually great. Two of the nights the had international menu at the Embarcadero. We ate there on Tuesday and had the Cordon Bleu, excellent. On Monday morning we made dinner reservations. They didn't maek us use tickets like before, you just show up and make them. You make them at Margaritas between 10AM and noon. We were able to make reservations for 12 people at the Asian place, Italian, and Tex Mex (Margaritas) the sea food place was not open all week, the girl taking reservations claimed they were remodeling, but it just seemed closed, no action there by the quiet pool. The Asian was OK, Tex Mex very good, and the Italian was by far the best. We were able to reserve all of these at one time, nice not to have to go back everyday for reservations, a nice change.

Ok let's go to entertainment. During the day Charley, (kind of looks like Omar, not as buffed) was great. The games ran well, we played a lot of beach volleyball and Charley joined in, very competitive like Chinos and Omar, he did a great job running the show. He ran things with T, she is very nice to look at. Se and Charley played in the Tequila volleyball them and most people in the game took there shots and lost there clothes, T took it all off very nice set on top and beautifully shaved downstairs, nice. There was one competition for Miss Temptation and this lady Sarah (or Ms Columbia) was like a freak, nice. At the end a lot of guys gave up there trunks to the 3 girls competing. Another of the activities guys (dont remember his name picked up there suits and threw them into one of the whirl pools and the naked guys about 15 of them ran to get them. My rather conservative sister in law was in the whirl pool tub and the look on her face as fifteen guys came running at her with there dicks bouncing up and down was priceless. She looked shocked but we all know she loved it. I liked the new entertainment crew, they tried real hard, did a great job of getting people involved, I never heard Charley or T swear and cuss out loud at people as the previous staff did alot. It was kind of nice not hearing that vulgar language all day as in the past form the staff. Mind you I loved Chinos and Omar, put I know some people were put off by the language at times. the new folks kept things going with out all that. (I know all you Chinos Omar lovers can stop groaning) We met a lot of nice people at the pool, playing volleyball, horseshoes etc, how well you enjoy your trip will depend on how much you get involved and the people there that week.

We did the adult only Catamaran trip on Tuesday, out to Isla Mujer, snorkeled, ate lunch at the beach club, sailed back and they had the spinaker swing going, my wife went ut the the sail got up real high and then ate it on the way down, nice. This one leaves around 10AM and gets you back at 5PM, nice day trip about 55 bucks each. Boat was full of Temptations people, no kids, lots of booze good deal.

Went to Hel-Ha on Thursday, we had 8 people and arranged a private van versus the bus trip, just a couple more bucks to not be on the bus. Great snorkeling, lots to do, great food and drinks out there. Was about 100 bucks each a little pricey but what the hell. I jumped off the cliff into the river twice. Wife laughed this time as on the first jump I really ate it. After jumping the hard part is swimming across the river to get out. Went back and did it again, kept my feet together this time and my boys appreciated it. The lagoon is pretty warm watre, up the river it is colder.

Took the temptations booze cruise on Friday night with Sergio and his crew. Nice boat tour thru the jungle lagoon and dinner and drinks at Carlos and CHarlies is always good, I think it was $49 good deal.

Left on Saturday the 25th around 1:30 for our 4:30 flight. Olympus on time as always, plane left on time back in LA by 7:30 PM.

To sum it all up, the room was nice except for the unstocked refrigerator. The food was all in all very good, reservation system much better. The front desk was efficient and helpful no problems there.
The activities crew Charley and T and a shorter guy, cant remember his name, did a good job, not much of a drop off at all from Chinos and Omar. they should be commended. I think Charley has been there for 3 months or so, A very nice guy, and T is easy on a guys eyes.

This was our second time, we were there Oct 07, some people in our group were on there 3rd and 4th trips. We also had some newbies. Only one couple in our group didnt seem to have a good time and they probably wont go back, not their thing. Our group ranged in age from mid 30's to early 50's. Most folks there seemed in that range, there seemd to be more 20 somethings than last time, and some older folks late 50's to 60's but I would say most were 30-50.

The only real complaint almost everyone had is the Nice Shoes bar. The show or activities didnt start until 9:30 and only lasted 30 minutes or so. On Saturday and Sunday nothing was going on at all. Just that funky techno drive you up the wall music. The only night anybody reall went in there was the Casino night, it was pretty full for an hour or so. and the ladies put on a pretty good lingerie show, a lot of nice views. According to the old timers in our group Nice Shoes is nothing like it used to be. I feel they really dont want to use it much, they want you out on the night club tours. There is so much potential there, put on some good music and let the people play. Most of the action at night is in PatyO's bar right outside the lobby, that bar was packed everynight, except Friday for the booze cruise, the booze cruise was paked with people.

Our group had a great time and most will be back next October, sorry this was pretty long, but I wanted to be thorough. If you got any questions let me know. Oh watch your head in the hallway, that low ceiling by the gym got my brother in law, knocked a tooth loose, if you have ever whacked your head by the ramp you know what I am talking about. All in all not much of a change from Blue Bay to Temptations. Same folks the Iguanas I call them, sit on the bar stools at the sexy pool and never move, there are a lot more chairs and umbrellas that before, plenty of seats at the sexy pool, that is a welcome change.

Great report, and thanks for the giving me a little TTR fix that I have been needing.

Traveling with a group of 15 would (could/should) be a blast, and I am glad that all but two had a great time. Sounds like Charley and T are doing OK, and look forward to seeing them in a couple of months.

Are the other two girls still there?
