thanks for sharing! i'm so super excited, i feel like a little kid!

so the saturday night pool party was no swimming for you? was there a reason? seems like every trip report says something different. some are allowed to swim (but its too cold) and some aren't. and of course the emails from the resort itself say that you can swim that night. so confusing. maybe they make it up as they go along, or maybe it depends on which staff is there that night... who knows....

but i sure hope its open the saturday night i'm there! i love night swim time!!

And ya the deal with the "Saturday Nite Pool Party" went like this -- DJ - and everyone was dancing ALL around ... there were GUARDS EVERYWHERE - and one lady trolleyed into the pool and they literally almost 'plucked' her out with one of those long sticks! LOL (Just kidding on the stick - but they *DID* tell her to GET OUT) -- so NO ONE was swimming ... Hmmmm not sure why there is conflicting reports ?! But OMG it was WAY too breezy to enjoy a nite swim - it would have to be MID SUMMER to probably enjoy that when the temp may still be at 80 at nite! Ohhhh that would be nice !!!

 

Great trip report. Wish we could have met you guys. We are the friends that Mary and Roger were suppose to go with. But, life got in the way. Leave in a week and cant wait. Hope we have as much fun as you guys did!!!

LAIDBACKLENNY -- *OMG* yes you met Roxie too !? Absolutely adorable isnt she ? I miss her ... And you said "Jeff" (Nimrod) - I wonder if we are talking about the same "Jeff" ?!?!? He was tall and had like blondish hair / beard / mustache I think ... he was a 'mayor' actually (I think ???) - he was an absolute DOLL AND A HALF! And Roger and Mary ?! They ROCKED!

Yes, the same Jeff. He said he is the mayor of Nimrod, MN. (about 100 people, give or take) where I go grouse hunting every fall. I will have to look him up next fall. I first met him the night of the pool party about 3:00 in the morning when he tried to be the peace maker after Filipe from Chile attacked the security guards in the lobby. It was great entertainment. I think it was that same night we met Rob from Calgary also or it may have been the next night. The nights soon all blended together. We never wanted to go to bed because you didn't know what you might miss. Great time!

 

Thanks for the advice on the whirlpool issue princess, Might give the tub a skip so, seems a shame though!!

 

If you ask most people that have had th jacuzzi rooms, they haven't had a problem. There's always a chance you might have problems, but in most cases they've been fine

 

I suppose in worst case scenario I could probably get some solution for cleaning whirlpools in the nearby Walmart and clean it myself at the start of the week!! Seems a shame to waste the enjoyment of having the tub!!
