Trip Report, Dirty Vibes - Tryst April 27 - May 2

Kick-butt TR Matt!

 

i went during a take over. wasnt part of the group. wasnt what i want to experience for any future trips. not because of the group of people, but because of the closing of places for them! we booked before the group did, but still got shut out of places when they were having their parties. not cool! being a member, paying for certain amenities, and getting shut out of said amenities is wrong.

 

I definitely get this and it was part of our frustration before we had gone. We are members as well and had felt this way. After going with the group though we realized how much better an experience that TTR could be with the additional entertainment events and use of all the facilities. At this point the group sells out so much of the resort that the ones that book with the takeover going on and aren't part of the group are pretty minimal. We have the other 50 weeks of the year to book without an event going on if you don't prefer that. It's nice to be able to attend an event like this at the place we love so much and have it elevate what is already a great place for us. Live and let live.

 

My only issue with takeovers is that we, at the "booking end," don't always know, or are given notice that, they're going on when we want to book.

Other than that, I can drive around it, or as Matt & Lisa did, join 'em.

 

So my question is: now that you've had such a great experience at the take over, will you still go to TTR during non-takeover times?

 

Of course. It’s just 2 times a year and we go more than that. Hopefully you guys are able to go at some point other than summer again though. Way too nice in Alaska then to leave here.

 

Is the Tryst takeover more liberal (or maybe the hotel itself) about topless at their version of bash on the rooftop? Wifey and I have been perplexed why all day long topless is the norm, yet at bash, not allowed. We need some educating about this practice . .

This is absolutely NOT a complaint. It is what we are calling a really curious observation . .

how much more liberal? It is a hot topic for us in our plans for the next trip . .

I honestly don't know the "why" behind it getting more restricted about boobies being out at night than it used to be. It doesn't make sense, from any perspective from which I view it.
