And so it begins.... After my 4pm flight from Hartford, CT to Cancun left an hour late, it was going to be hard to make the 9pm meet-up time at Corona Bar. I landed in Cancun around 8pm and due to March 10th being one of the busiest days of the year at the airport, it took a while for Brant’s shuttle van to even find its way into the loading zone to pick me up. But once he did load the van with me and my luggage, the service was top-notch and very courteous. We made a bee-line for the Club Carrousel hotel (next to BBG), I ran in and had a very smooth check-in, and the total time to dump the luggage in the room, change, and get to the bus stop could not have been more than 20 minutes. And so it was off to Corona Bar where I found Jason, Linz, Riki, Trigger, Steve, and some others including about 4 guys from Philly that met Jason at the Oasis. We proceeded to drink Coronas and watch the fire show until Jason, Linz and the Philly guys left for the City. Linz/Jason Linz Jason Fire Steve, Riki, Trigger and I headed to Carlos n Charlies for buckets of beer. Trigger Riki Trigg/Me/Riki Girls on bar We watched the sights, chatted with Julia the waitress (a Brit working her 2nd day at C & C) and drank. Riki and Trigger went off to the City while Steve and I proceeded to use his contacts to get into Dady’O/ Rock and the Terrasta Bar for very few pesos. Upstairs at Terrasta Bar we met a cool couple from NY that helped us out on a mission: After consuming quite a few beers, Steve told me that he had to get home. He may have been correct: He left on the bus and I drank another couple and took in the sights of Cancun on a Saturday night. I then went to the Taco Factory, caught the bus back to the hotel, and passed out around 5am.
Very nice. I had every intention of meeting up with you guys on night 1, but I got sidetracked by the girls from Maryland and their hot tub
