you will find the may group is made up of very freindly people--mostly professional types ( police, firefighters, engineers etc--very decent average folks)that can afford about anywhere but chosing TTR year after year due to the other repeaters and the staff they have become close friends with. the guys lookout for the safety of any ladies-- especially during the nightclub outings. we have never had any problems at the resort and only one problem at a nightclub with a drunk jerk-- not bad for 11 prior trips.
Absolutely True, I have talked Aurelio many nights and even though he is talking to me and listening, his eyes were always watching and there was a few times that just a call on his walkie talkie and Patty O's was filled with security. Temptations Security is always around and always watching, So for any woman feeling nervous or uncomfortable, Tell Aurelio or tell your bartender..he or they will send one or more security guys out to watch over the situations and even walk you back to your room , ive even seen them escort ladies that were alone to the bathroom. I personally have never had issues with Tempations and I dont think its an unsafe place at all, however im not a single female, So just a mind easing thing, like Jamie said...just know that Security is all around the place and just out of sight, So just ask and they will help you and walk you back to your room or where ever you need to go. Plus Aurelio is a cool guy to talk to .
CC folks, It saddens my heart to see that others want to drug people or be aggressive towards ladies, single or married to have a good time. I was at TTR in September and people were so friendly, ladies, couples, single men and it was a great time. Just get you a biggg cup, watch it filled at all times and enjoy. DON't drink too much, lol, or you'll miss the fun. I'm a Texas guy and always a Gentleman at all times, hopefully any of the offenders were not from Texas or we'll whup thur butts for not resptct'n a lady. They can go watch channel twelve and get out the lotion, LOL. I also went to Hedo in Jamaica later in the year and treat a lady like a lady and amazing things happen, yepper.
Hi, on another post answered your question about this road trip, I put you here again, and I hope that this information could help your friends. Maybe your friends needs to re-evaluate their trip, Sounds like a nice adventure but its a long trip. Depends which border point they prefer but I think the best option would be by Nuevo Laredo, Cancun is 27 to 30 hours from that City. At the most part they will drive through good roads, some good highways but certainly some roads would be not that good. I think that the most insecure part would be from Nuevo Laredo to San Luis Potosi (this is the first 7 or 8 hours). mmm..would be good too to avoid going through Mexico City. They will need to carry mexican money because these roads have many paying stations, oh, and in México we don´t need a special licence to drive across the country.
We were there at the same time as WestTexas. I asked my wife if she was harassed and she said not at all. I think what happened may have been a group of idiots focused on a couple of really good looking women, and as idiots will do, they couldn't figure out what "no" means. I agree with Jamie that the best way to deal with them is "quaranteen" them by informing as many members as you can about who they are as well as Security. Any single guys that we have met have been really nice and respectful, but we havn't had to deal with a group of them who are jerks. A friend of mine used to say " Put 2 assholes in a crowded hall and they will find each other within 2 minutes"
we were at the resort during the same time period, dec 7-14 and had a similar experience with the drinks... We had been drinking all night, and were both just buzzing, and my wife went from a light buzz to passed out in the lobby bathroom in about 30 minutes, I basically had to carry her back to the room. Then she woke up about 3-4 hours later totally sober and feeling great, not something that would happen if you drank enough to pass out like that... Luckily we were with a few other couples from this site, westtexas disappeared on us that night...lol
Thanks for the TR. I would like to know where (what part of the world) these guys were from? My wife and I went Dec. 2009 and it was too cold for us also. Since we have kids we end up going around Aug, (been there 3 times) which seems to have more couples. You drink experience really creeps me out. It’s tough being a woman and having to worry about predators. That’s something guys don’t worry about. This is something that I tell my daughter about. It sucks that there are some weird a-holes out there.
We walked to the Playboy Club, but it was not open. No hours were posted so we did not go back. We will solve the problem by going when it is hot so we will get up earlier and thus we will not be staying up so damn late!
Hello Folks we were just at TTR Dec 19th-24th and unfortunately there was a pair of single guys with a girl whoes primary mission it was to spike ladies' drinks and then make videos "up in there room". Along with another CC member we brought it to Chinos' and Stacey's attention and they dealt with it immediately. The 1 male and female left "mysteriously" the next day and the other signle Guy that was left over got ostersized and I believe he left the following day. Good to see fellow CC members rally together to keep this type of vermin out! On another note acouple there at the same time reported the wife may have had something slipped in her drink while out at Coco's. Sad to hear this nonsense goes on but it's true! Like others have said be aware of your surroundings and look out for each other! CC is a great site with great people. Thx again Steve for making thi possible. Ps-trip,staff,food and resort were great. Can't wait to go back...maybe April or May! Take care everyone.
