We went to the Golden the day after Thanksgiving this year, and had a real good time. We are looking at Viva for the same time in '14. Apple vacations has a price for two at $1688, and Orbitz for $873. We used Orbitz last time. I can't believe they are that far apart.
I think because of the change over, travel companys are having a hard time categorizing the rooms. I always use Expedia , and they were 253 ''more'' a night for the Spice room when Selloff and Orbitz were only 20 to 40 more. TRied to make a call to push it through and failed, so booked with Selloff
Yeah, I hope at some point they give a better description. I guess what you do now is book a regular room, and upgrade if you want when you get there. We had a balcony at the Golden which was nice. But we don't spend a lot of time in the room, so it's not a big deal.
I would add that most of the member (like their privilege or not but the are usually good party people) will probably stick to TTR. On the other side, cheaper prices, hotel in the middle of Cancun at a walking distance from all the nightclub, the crowd might be even younger then TTR at springbreak... Don't get me wrong, i love competition and it should bring something good, but a lot remains to be seen... P.S. As for the price, i get GOV way cheaper than TTR for the periods i am looking at.
We'll be there on Feb. 3rd for nine nights and the wife is bringing nine outfits to wear to dinner. All nine fit into a quart size baggie!! Can't wait to get there.
