I always purchase trip insurance. I used it once when my husband had open heart surgery 2 weeks before our trip and was reimbursed 100%. Also when we took friends to TTR with us hehad a heart attack at the resort. The ER bill was reimbursed to them over 7000.00 and medical evacuation to a US hospital in Miami arranged by a case mgr assigned to assist them all paid. To be honest I doubt he would have survived had it not been for that insurance and both I and his wife are nurses
