This wasnt us, it was actually from tripadvisor, bugs dont bother me, worst thing you can do is stand on them, just amazed me how big they thought the cockroaches were
On my last visit, upon entering the room for the 1st time, we thought we saw a large green insect (hideous!) crawling outside. But it was only a tiny iguana, or as the staff member called it, "iguanito" (adorable!)
I've seen a fair few cockroaches, but it doesn't put me off. One time we were heading back to the room about 5am and one scuttled under a neighbouring room's door. Hope they didn't find it still there in the morning! Bad reviews are good because it weeds out the people on the fence about going. Leaving more room for us!
Hubby and I had one of the small "lizard" thingys in our room last year. Those are kind of cute so easy to dismiss. We just ushered him to the door and that was that. My bestfriend wasn't so lucky...she woke up with a cockroach crawling across her back. She and her hubby spent some time trying to swat it but I can't remember if they sent him to bug heaven or if he got away. As ScubaSteve said, it's a tropical climate so the bugs are in full force. I've seen cockroaches as long as my pinky finger at PatiO's...yikes. Rita
Great review and honest... my only problem with it... you told everyone how great the place is and now its a sellout... sometimes I wish we all could have kept it a secret...
Actually, if you read the negative reviews, they usually attract the right people. Complaints of: Loud music, half naked people, partying and carrying on all night... sounds terrible...LMAO
