My thought about the armband/tribal tattoo is that, if you've got one, you really, really liked the late 90's and early 2K years, but didn't have any real imagination. Just my $0.03, cuz' I'm on an inflationary cycle. LOL! Sorry if I irritated ya, just playin'...
It was a "monkey see, monkey do" situation. Every time one my friends would get one, another would decide he needed one too. They went like dominoes. Nobody wanted to be spared the pain. And that first tattoo must be like a gateway drug because they were poppin' 'em like Pringles after that first one.
I have a total of 7 Tattoos the most important one is on my right arm of a butterfly incorporated with the pink breast cancer ribbon with Hope written under it that I got a little over 3 years ago for my great friend and neighbor. Unfortunately she lost her fight in January and I am going to go in and have it touched up in the next month. I do have 2 on each ankles one of the Blue Bay Getaway emblem and the other The Nice Shoes 69, Butterfly Tramp Stamp and 2 flowers on my sholders and a heart w/wings on my right chest. I don't think Tat's have to mean anything if you want it get it. IMO Debbie
Now that kind of tattoo I can appreciate. I just don't care for the "I wanted some ink so I got this tat" kind of tattoo. There is a big difference.
