Just an additional thought, Sarah69 loves Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate. It's from the UK and you cant get it in Cancun (cant get anything British in Cancun) but I think you can get it in Canada.
Steve I never seen the Cadbury fruit and nut at the stores in Cancun but in the Cancun airport duty store they sell it , it's a big 1 lb chocolate bar for $10usd and the reason I know this is cause I like them although we do have them here at home ,so 1 time I bought one to eat in the plane and never got to it and my daughter found it so now every 6 months she makes me bring one back for her.....lol
I will be sure to bring a few chocolate bars and make sarah69 work the pole by the pool to get them......lol
Is the no gifts policy exclusve to this resort? Never have heard of this, but I have had to write notes @ TTR when I gave away Cardinals hats/Tshirts stating it was a gift signed with my room #. Hard to believe someone cold be fired for accepting a heartfelt gift, espcially friendy dedicated employees........:aktion060:
I have heard of this ! but that's nuts ! maybe in Cuba or Jamaica, if a staff member gets a gift they might get warned in a place like Cuba but don't think this occurs in Cancun . At TTR I remember giving a gift to a long time bartender at the sports bar :clappyinghappy: and he wanted me to sign a paper that stated I actually gave it to him . I gladly did ! I think that was 2008 ? ? ? That was the only time since the Blue Bay days that happed
Not sure on the policy at GOV but yeah many hotels need confirmation from a guest that a staff member has received a genuine gift. They sometimes get checked on leaving and need confirmation they have not stolen it.
So......... - Valentina has a 1yr old baby girl - Sarah69 loves Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate Good to know........Let's make them happy.
