Good idea, TJ! I'll report back later when I hear the three new items for today.

The item announced this morning is for the actual front page of any newspaper from the day you were born. Hmm. There's got to be some sort of website for this! Hope so. I wasn't born yesterday!

Are we still looking for all this stuff, except the Yard Glass:

Some of the tougher items, besides the Cancun yard glass, were a photo of a license plate containing 1067 within the number; a dollar bill with 1067 somewhere in the serial number (sequential); a dog license from 2001; any item with "Alf" on it (an old TV show); A set of mouse ears with the name "Michael" on it....Clinton/Gore pin....a sugar beet...a bag cell phone... an electronic receipt from 3/1/2006...a pawn ticket...etc.

The family sending the glass to you are wonderful, even though we have never met. 2 Cancun firemen were killed a few months ago and we raised some money for their families and have also obtained some used firefighter equipment for the local F.D. They were a big help in our project of help.

TJ, I haven't heard from the Indiana couple to exchange addresses yet. I'm hoping they'll contact me again today! So, if anyone else has a yard glass, I am still looking, but hopefully not for long.

The Indiana couple is going to trade the yard glass for a shot glass or two from Montana and I will gladly send them some good ones to add to their collection.

Hey Mfox - I sent you a Private Message. You should get an email notification. You can send someone a Private Message by clicking on the PM icon in the bottom line of their post. Hint, Hint.

I can't post my address here as there are too many women stalkers running around out there. LOL

Other than the yard glass, I'm still working on:

A dollar bill with 1067 (sequential) in the serial number

All other items I have located. Yesterday I bought an Alf phone on ebay. Gosh, is that ugly! I'll have to have a garage sale when this contest is over.

Here are just a few of the other things I have found:

    original recording of the Macarena
orginal recording of Mambo #5 by Lou Bega
    Ricky Martin poster
original Levi's "button your fly" t-shirt
    original hypercolor shirt by Generra
    out of state license plate
    a can of Jolt cola
    straight A report card
High school year book from 1993
    expired dog license 2001
church bulletin from any Sunday in April
letterhead from a Mayor, Governor,Congressman or Senator
    souvenir from Yellowstone National Park
    Y2K item
any bill with a balance of $106.70
pic of license plate with 1067 (sequential) in the number
    an 8-track tape
    sugar beet
    a black cat
barf bag from an airline (not used)

Only the yard glass has really stumped me so far. Everything else has been found--except the dollar bill but I'm working on it.

The afternoon item was easy. It was a menu and magnet from a local restaurant and dessert shop. It was a good excuse to try the 5-layer chocolate, chocolate cake!

Still busted by the 1067 dollar bill....

A U.S. dollar with "1067" in sequence on the serial number.

It sounds easy but I've got a friend who works in a drive thru bank looking for me and they haven't found one yet! They only started on Friday, but still, I thought they'd find one within a day! No such luck...yet.

When I picked up the dessert menu today I saw several of my competitors. Definitely stirred the competitive juices!
