I booked with Conquest...through expedia, I haven't seen anything about an airport transfer...I don't care splitting 65 between 4 of us, it will get us there with no stops so I'm ok with paying it. We get in at 2:30pm I think...
Here is the difference......the shuttle service in your package is almost always a shared shuttle & here is how it works - after you come out of the airport you locate your shuttle service, load your bags, & sit & wait until the van is full. Once full you proceed to the different hotels & drop off the shared passengers arriving @ TTR last. It is @ the end of the route. Total time is usually about 2 - 3 hrs. If you pay for a private shuttle ( We prefer Brants ) you exit the airport, Locate your shuttle, they radio the van which picks you up within minutes. A direct drive to TTR takes about 20 - 30 from the time you stepped out of the airport. .....So you decide, whats more important, the extra time @ TTR or the money it costs to do so. To us it's a no-brainer, but to each his own :huh: Scott & Lori
Our experience last year was nothing like that, we arrived at the airport walked outside had our bags put in a van and were driven with one other passenger directly to Temptations. Same company we booked with this year so hopefully it is the same! fingers crossed Cheers Bern
Messed up with the last one, but here's my reply. I always find that Temptations is the last one they drop off with the shuttle. It is part of the package, but how much is time in paradise worth. Yes its good as soon as you touch down in Cancun, but it is so much better once you get to the resort.
I really hope it doesn't take 2-3 hours on the shuttle, After a 10 and a half hours flight I do not want to sit on a bus for that long! I may consider booking alternative transport.
Temptations is the last place the drop I swear... each time Rick and I went it was anyways. This time we are going with a private one with the one off of Steve's site. They are going to be there with a sign and pick us up and we are off directly to the resort.
Use Brant's from this website - well worth the extra $$$$. Used them twice, both ways, they are excellent.
