Another vote for USA Transfers. If you're looking for more evidence of globalism...., a company called USA Transfers, operating in Mexico, owned by a Canadian. :D

One thing that wasn't mentioned here folks but is good to know. Once you've cleared customs and have got all your bags head directly for the exit. There will be lots of friendly folks that will want to talk to you and tell you they can help you get where you are going. These people are trying to lure you into a timeshare tour. Politely say no thank you and keep walking forward until you get outside if you decide to use USA Transfers there will be someone there wearing a hat and carrying a clipboard with the logo on it. They'll call your driver over load you up and get you on your way, and yes I've used them and recommend them.

we have used both taxi and US transfers. We will go with US transfers again. They are reliable and are ready to pick you up !!! Its just nice to know that someone is waiting for you as opposed to going outside the airport "jungle" and trying to find a local taxi. We pay for it in advance and have an 800 # to call if there is any problems. We will book US transfers through this site as our Dec 3rd arrival date gets closer!!! Good Luck....see you guys at the pool !!! Whoot whoot

Until something unexpectedly bad happens with USA, they have my business. Since TTR is at the end of the strip, if you go on a shared van, you will be the last stop, no good. USA is direct for you only. On my first trip, I told the driver to hold on a minute while I got a couple of beers at the outdoor bar for the ride. He said no way....he would take me to a quick-mart at the gas station right outside the airport and I could get 12 beers for the price of one at the outdoor bar.

What we always do is as soon as we clear customs and go through the glass doors, we split up and walk down opposite sides of the hall(always in view of each other). I have been told that the sharks only attack couples for the timeshare pitch. Not sure if this is true, but they have never bothered us when we split up.

There is an OXXO convenience store as soon as you pull out of the airport. Have the driver stop and you can get cheap beers there. Don 't forget to grab a soda, water, or a gatorade for the driver, they will appreciate it.

USA Transfers all the way, used them several times. We even use them when we have a airport transfer with our trip. We prefer to get to TTR fast so we us USA Transfer instead of getting on a bus and making several stops..

The last time we were there, we didn't have reservations and used the shared shuttle that was arranged by what appeared to be the "timeshare people". Upon exiting baggage claim and ready to walk outside, there were many "employees" and one of them stopped me and told me all unreserved transportation must go through them at the airport. I asked if this was a timeshare thing and they said no. I know, I have been "warned" and was very hesitant based on what I read here. Glutton for punishment, we stopped.

The gentleman at the counter then gave us a map and highlighted some things to do and made arrangement for our shared shuttle and accepted payment ($30 for two). The shuttle was waiting outside. Total time, about 5-10 minutes. He did mentioned that if we had time, Planet Hollywood had a timeshare presentation being offered, I declined and off we went. I wondered if this is what others are "complaining" about, because it really wasn't bad at all.

But TTR was the last stop on the route. We didn't mind at the time, being that it was our first time and wanted to see what the other resorts looked like (from the outside). Now that we have seen it, we would rather go non-stop for our next trip.

Are there other options (non-stop) for those with no reservations? Can I book a reservation with USA and cancel if I don't get on the flight?
