Isla Mujeres!! We took the ferry over (can be an experience in itself getting to the ferry) and spent the day there. Most booze cruises go there for a short time, but going over on your own and making it a day is a nice side trip.
I can recommend the jungle tour... It is great because it isn't an all day sort of thing. About 30 minutes out via 2-person boats (very fast!) You cannot be afraid of going fast in these boats, I had the throttle buried most of the time, just get right behind the guide and stay in his wake. Then about 1 hour of snorking. Nice little reef, calm water. Then 30 minutes back via a little winding river system of sorts. Had a little of everything. Adrenaline and relaxation. If Steve is organizing a booze cruise during your trip, I can recommend that too! Just don't get the slow golf cart on the island or little old ladies in walkers laugh at you as they pass.... :shock: - Brian
