Cozumel Our group has been to the area several times and I think some of our best times have come from a day trip to Cozumel. Similair to Isla. Hitch a ride to Playa, take a ferry to Cozumel (several booths set up in street downtown Playa that offer ferry tickets). When you get to Cozumel there will be several scooter rentals as you get off the boat. rent scooter and proceed to take tour on road around the island. Usually not a lot of traffic. Several bars / restaurants along the way. Drive 5 minutes along the coast line as waves crash. stop for cervesa and chips. Drive another 10 minutes. stop for another cervesa and lunch. Makes for a full day and we love it. Make sure you don't miss last ferry to mainland otherwise you get to see what spending the night in Cozumel is like. Enjoy!!
