You should go... First, at least from where we are from it is pretty hard to beat the price...Second, the food isn't bad,,, have you ever sat at the table in the Italian restaurant next to the waterfall? Or the Asian by the window? At home we are usually beer and wings at happy hour, so, this is a nice change. Third, shy, that completely describes my wife, but she is the one that always wants to go. Fourth, most employees are very nice. When we arrived on our last trip, we dropped off our luggage and when we walked past the buffet, Javier, a waiter, ran outside and gave my wife and I hugs and said glad to see you again. Fifth, if you like something why change??? Ok, enough said, I won't babble anymore,,, bye...
The last resort I've been to that wasn't TTR, did have a better beach. What I remember most though was that every night in the main bar there were about 30 kids running around doing what kids do. The older teens were drinking, getting sick and knocking over tables. Not exactly Paty 'O's atmosphere. Price out other adults only resorts and the decision is easy...TTR is five star fun plain and simple.
We are having the same thoughts. We've been to TTR twice and love the party atmosphere, the people, etc..., but right now we are torn between going back there, or going to Jamaica (we have never been to Jamaica) just to try something different. The biggest drawback for us at TTR is the lack of a nice beach. Some people think thats petty, but thats one of our things about going to a BEACH resort. If TTR was on a stretch of beach farther down the coast, we'd never go anywhere else. We like a nice beach. Right now we can go to Negril for 5 nights for the same price as 6 nights at TTR. Decisions....decisions.
Hi Everyone Hubby booked Temptations from September 17 - 24 I'm excited and if I could remember how to add the little dancing icons..there would be a whole string of them here. Thanks for all your replies!!! I believe we made the right decision!!!
I know tough choice msmcrea! We like to sit at the beach during the day and relax and read. Pop into the water or walk. Its not petty if that's what you like. Well we booked again so I guess the party outweighed the 7 mile white sandy beach. Come 17 to 24th. we are leaving out of Toronto for $1700
If It were me I would have asked My wifes boobs their opinion on the subject!!! They normally very attractive, but tend to get her in lots of trouble!! As far as Jamaica goes, "Most" of Long Bay beach in Negril is "the Best" !! Hedo IIs section of beach isn't in that category!! Our trip to TTR in OCt is $1400/w/air. Hedo is 1000 more, the old Breezes Grand Negril is 500 more. Couples Negril or Couples Swept Away is at least $1200 more. Don't let anyone convince you to stay no-AI. If you decide on Negril, by all means use "Joe Cool TAxi", he is the best!! Jewell Runaway is pretty good, but does have kids.
We made the right decision. We are actually more excited about coming back to TTR than we were about going to Negril.
If a stunning beach is what you want you can't beat Varadero, Cuba. So amazing. (Sorry USA). That is what I call a true beach. Sand up to your mid calf and water so blue your eyes tear up. No topless Kids everywhere Food boring (except a la carte which rivals any place we've been$ Solution? Get a Canadian passport, take the kids to Cuba and take yourself to TTR. Problem solved. Cuba is cheap so you could theoretically do both!!
