I've been to 2 diff secrets resorts in riviera maya and they were beautiful and pampering and wonderful. Then I went to Temptation. It's the only place in Mexico for me now. Sure a maid doesn't come in and tidy your room every time you leave it but the friends and the fun make Temptation my fave vacation spot.
I've never been to TTR YET so I can't say but I totally get the "shy" part- I'm SHY but not ashamed of my bubbies (breast) so mine will be OUT well......From what I hear this is the place that normally SHY people can/will let lose! Either way I hope you have a wonderful vacation wherever you choose :daisy:
You don't go to Temptation for the rooms, the food, the beach, or the drinks. You go because its a non-stop party with great people. We rate it at 2.5*'s - but the service and people make it a 4* resort at an unbeatable price. If your looking to party come to Temptation! If your looking to be pampered, have top notch food & drinks, a fantastic beach, and a dull atmosphere than go elsewhere. Its up to your mood and what you are looking to get out of your vacation. A vacation is never a bad decision!
I agree with this 100%. You won't find anything that is 4 star in Cancun area for the same price, let alone 5 star. Maybe if there is a bunch of kids running around you might be able to get "4" star. That's another great thing about Temptation. It's literally one of the cheapest adults only places in Cancun. We did have this debate our second trip too. We weren't sure if we wanted to try some place else or go to TTR again. It seemed kind of silly to keep going to the same place, but we had such a great time. Now we are members!
Ok Thanks for all the positive feedback! $1800 was for TTR in Sept 17 to 24. The 5star I saw was in DR. We needed a push over the fence to make a decision. Thanks we are landing in TTR 17 Sept. We like to travel around and this is the first time we've been torn to want to come back to a resort. (and now we're doing it) Ali and Andrew I guess were going to miss you, thanks for the offer of a good time. To all the others the sentiment was the same it's really more 2.5 star but the people and the party make it a 4 and that's just how we felt. We don't need a maid and 5 star just a lift back to the room at night. Well maybe someone on hand and foot would be ok I guess.
We've been to Cancun 11 times in 27 years (our honeymoon was there) and have been up and down Riviera Maya as well as other destinations such as Dominican Republic, Bahamas, etc. We have been to TTR now four times since our first visit in 2007 and leave Monday for our fifth. We keep coming back because it is so damn much fun and the people are amazing. I mean if you really WANT to go to some resort where by 11:00 PM there's no one up and partying, by all means, knock yourself out. You want to go to some resort where you meet no one? Go for it. You want to go to some resort where if your wife takes her top off, a bunch of people go tsk tsk and security comes by to scold you? Go for it. You want to spend an entire vacation without laughing? Go for it. I'll be at Temptations.
We get there on 13th and stay through 20th. So we will see you there. Check out September theme nights to see if you want to participate in any. You won't be disappointed. TTR is crazy fun.
Thanks Heathernsean, we participated last time everyday. Some days were sad only a few people actually participated. We will again. If you see us drag us along. We def stayed up and partied every night we were there last time. That's what is dragging us back again. We don't really want to have a snooze fest. I think we are going to try the Boobs Cruise too this time.
We must have stayed at 20 different resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya over the years. Most of those will be when we had kids in tow but Temptation is the only place we consider when without the kids. Might not be the greatest food or best beach, but the party is second to none. Prices good, very sociable people and I consider Paty O the best 'club' in Cancun. We often buy expensive night passes just to be there for the evening rather than go to a local nightspot.
On our first trip to Temptations within a few hours we knew we would come back. We had a great time and met a lot of great people! Many have been back 10-15+ times! That really tells you something! If you used Alpharooms for those dates it looks like $1020USD for the price you mentioned you could get a suite with a suite with a jacuzzi!
