At the request of 4biddenpleasrs I'm starting a couple of polls which I'll make stickies in a couple of days. This poll is to vote on your favourite Cancun nightspot. All votes are anonymous, you have to be logged in to vote and you dont need to post a message... although if you want to explain why you voted why you did and tell of your experiences or share tips that's great. Only one vote each - choose wisely!
Aww La Boom...Or Fat Tuesday...sniff sniff I voted for Basic, just cause I had the most fun there this year..Although that list is very hard to choose from thats for sure!
I chose Slices because it's laid back, good music, great for people watching, no cover, best meet-up spot, and cool staff.
I chose downtown, cheaper for a po' girl like me. When we go to the HZ, we always end up going to Terrasta (at the entrance to Dady Rock). For the "big" discos, I like Dady Rock or the Bulldog, but it's rare for me to go into the biggies.
To me the answer is simple. If you like music so loud the you can't hear yourself think.....much less talk to the person you are with, If you like BS food, If you like watered down drinks, If you like being taken advantage of, all at inflated prices then go to Congo Bongo, The City or other places like that. If you like good food, good conversation without having to yell, great drinks, great company, owners you can talk to, all at reasonable prices then go to MY PLACE. Its got to be the best place in the zone. I base this opinion on 10 to 15 trips while on vacation and now living here.
Thanks Steve and thanks for voting everyone. FYI, we're putting together a list of the best club for our friends and family to do when we come down for our wedding in 2008. Everyone's input is welcome and appreciated.
It all depends on what you're looking for though. What appeals to your average college student while partying in a sea of people listening to techno music at the City until 6am may scare away those wanting to hang out and listen to a band play '80s covers while sipping beers and chatting. That's the beauty of Cancun, a little something for everyone (unless you like Country, Jazz, Blues of course)
