TOP 10 TITLES for negative reviews at TRIP ADVISOR

I read all the above posted bad reviews & found them quite amusing & literally about lol at some of the comments. as some have stated already the majority of the things that most people complained about are the things that make us love TTR!! To each his own...as others have also stated if they were offended by the "atmosphere", nudity, & drinking then they can take their prude, boring selves to another resort anyways as they are a downer for those of us who actually enjoy having fun. We are going in June to Cancun for our 7th time in the last 8 yrs. We have went once to Moon Palace, once to Golden Parnassus, once to Desire Cabo, once to Desire Cancun, and this will be our 3rd time to TTR. Are some of the others a bit fancier & newer...yeah. But there is nothing to compare in our minds to the awesome time & lifetime friends we have had & met at TTR!!!:lotsofmichaelfs:

Some people are born to live their life with their glass half empty. We are a couple who live life with our glass half full. "Glass half full" people we reckon will almost always love this place!

Sure TTR is not perfect (not many places are!) but one thing it is, is a fun, friendly resort for adults. Any problems we encountered last time was sorted out with a smile, a polite word, and a tip here and there.

For the money we pay to come here, it is absolutely good value

You will all laugh at this...today I received the following email on Tripadvisor about the review I posted:

I am one of those who gave this resort a bad review. I respect your opinion about the resort as many share it. I think it is important for people to know that you can and will get sick here. I never thought I would be one of those people. I have travelled before and am careful. I wish I would have known how high a chance I had of getting sick before I went. I really believe the ice is the culprit. I do not believe they use distilled water to make it. Also small water bottles in the mini fridge would have made a world of difference to us as opposed to a giant bottle. It's the little things I guess. I would not have minded the resort quite so much if I stayed at another resort and could come and go as a visitor. There was fun to be had but it all gets to be too much of the same nonsense to me. If I ever ventured back to Mexico I would completely ignore the timeshare folk as advised but then thats another reason to advise it to others and I don't think we should be discouraged in doing so. We missed our ride to the resort with timeshare foolishness. We simply did not know. I am glad you did the cancuncare thing as you would indeed be very vulnerable at Temptations. As it was, my girlfriend fought off a male guest who got really aggressive with me (my exuse... mucho vodka) and was just about tossed of the resort for her trouble. In all there are some things that I feel vistors really need to understand before entering this resort. I would go back on a one night at a time basis only if that were possible. The management definately caters to the folk who have bought timeshares. All the best stuff is sqaundered for them. If you doubt it, do the timeshare presentation and see for yourself. Regular guests are just an attempt to keep the resort at capacity. I did not feel like the resort cared for my repeat business. For that I would highly recommend Couples in Jamacia. Adult friendly, no kids, even complete nudity (Couples Tower Isle) if you so chose. They don't push timeshares there but they do reward repeat guests to the resorts which IMHO promotes a way better experience. I wanted to comment because people do need to know in order to be prepared and protect themselves. Perhaps this is true of Mexico itself, I am not sure. That said, I am happy to hear you had a great time on your vacation, I just wish we had. Cheers Vickie
