miami number 10? i've read that miami is the number 1 spring break destination for like the last 20 years, based on the number of student visitors they have in the spring.

i don't recall where i read this tho but i have been there for the WMC and it is packed. where did you get that list and how was it decided?

Miami has not been number any year I have ever went to spring break! And thats the last 10 years in a row! Every year they make a list of the largest numbers of students booked for each destination, once you have those numbers, its pretty easy to decide what destination is going to be the largest. This list was just release, so....... I thought I would share it!

I lived in Florida, went to college in Tampa, and worked in the bar/restaurant business from 1989-2000 and Miami was never mentioned in the same breath with Daytona or PCB as far as spring break destinations at that time.

Fort Lauderdale was huge in the 80's until they tried to make the strip more upscale and 'cleaner' toward the end of that decade. Daytona has met a similar fate of late, with the city trying to move toward a more 'family-friendly' image.

Miami has always been more of a 'year-round' destination compared to the other ones, especially with people from the Northeast US. But not so much spring break.
