Figure it will happen and be prepared to deal with it without it getting ugly. Warn the offender to stay hands off, then get security if it happens again. No way should get you get nasty. Move to a different area of the bar. Surround yourself with friends and laugh, laugh, laugh. You will have a great time. You're the one there with the love of your life and the rare creepy gropers are alone and sad. Too bad for them. Don't let them take away even a single happy moment. Easy to say, hard to do, but no less true.
Sorry to hear the troubles people are having at TTR during Spring Break, and though this may sound selfish, I'm now worried about security stepping it up when the Addicts start trickling in.. as it was a couple years ago.. It put quite the crimp in some peoples styles/fun...
Hey guys, We went in March last year for the first time and were worried about the same stuff......I wondered a little what life would be like in a Mexican prison It was never an issue. If Steve says it's bad.....then it's bad. But that being said, we met some people on this board before our trip and we stuck in a group (in an enjoy each other's company sense, not in a frightened way) and we were absolutely fine. We booked for March again this year, knowing the risks and we're super excited. Any attempts made by the singles guys was more comedy than anything and nothing to get fired up about......there was a few single guys on our Boobs Cruise and they were tons of fun! Kyle
Jeff & Deb...I dont think that will happen again.. that wantabe cop security guy was let go not long after April/May and it all went back to normal..He was just aweful.. wouldnt let Bruce play he guitar at patio's, well at all.. it was the nice security that told us to go out by the sports pool that it would be ok.. But, every year there are big groups of single guys at the resort in March. TTR is not going to turn that money away!
We are a group of 7 women going March 25-April 1. We are a mix of single and married ladies looking to drink, dance and have fun. Do you think we will have any problems? We are in our early 30's and are just looking to get away.
I`m an ex-Brit, lived in Canada for 40yrs. When I was there in March early April in 2011. 40 Brits arrived, one inebreated guy pushed one of the daytime entertainment girls into the pool as she wouln`t allow him to use the washroom during a game. He was fined $1500.00 dollars before the resort let him back in. That responce quickly cooled the whole group down to behave more respectable of all others present. Like in life, it just takes 1 bad apple, to spoil it for all!!!
I was there once in march (march 22-29 2008 i believe) n it was by far my worst week there out of 8 trips. It was at least 10-1 guy-girl ratio. Never again! Mid april or later is way better. Even if the guys were all well behaved which they're not, women get way more conservative when there's too many guys. Changes the whole atmosphere
If it is like last year,stay away form the young Brits & Ecuador & nicaragua guys. If you wear side tie bikini bottoms, double knot them! Last year they were super super arsholes! Very disrepectful. Just keep your distance! Luckily they will not make the majority,toherwise I would have not been back the same dates,well really it is my birthday,can't really change that date, lol :bunny:
