Amen brotha after we kick some a$$. haha. We are there in two days hope to have a great time but on the other hand D-bags piss me off and with tequila who knows????? I'm a kitty cat usually though
Last year..... the end of March had a great vibe.... there was only one small single "pack of guys" that were mostly were very respectful. We will be there a week from today (for 10 days) and will report back about our experience.
I,m sorry but in all the time Ive been single males outnumber single females at least 5 to 1. There might be a misconception on CC cause a lot of single women post, but things are different when you get to the resort and a lot of single men and groups arrive that don't post on here. A large group of males does not have to behave badly to ruin the Vibe and sexual atmosphere of Temptations. There are a few select cougars (not implying any one) that like the large groups of young males for easy pickings. The single ,single males have never been a problem for the most part it is the groups. Yes you get the odd ape ship person , but one is a lot easier to handle and ignore, then 20 young males crowding the bar and heckling all the females as they return from Nice shoes in their costumes. ..... on the girls/versus guys issue case you no its apples and oranges....not too many girls are in bar fights or go around grabbing women's butts as there getting drinks at the bar. Almost every girl in our group was grabbed last year be the group at the bar, That is not acceptable.
It's Thomas Cook that's the problem. They offer discounts for group bookings (e.g. 10 people in your party get 1 in free). The more in the group, the bigger the discount. Of Thomas Cook's hotels in Cancun, TTR is the cheapest adult-only option. Plus, as others have mentioned, website/youtube/facebook etc advertises TTR as a non-stop party with hundreds of single women all willing and ready to party down with young single males. When you add that to the fact it's all inclusive including drinks (don't get that in Spain, Greece etc without paying £££s), it's very appealing to 'lad's gone wild' type of groups. I suppose the other reason is that people are getting married later in life these days. They still want to do a 'stag weekend', but as they're older they have more disposable income to really go to town. 20 years ago I doubt anybody could afford more than a night on the ale - nowadays it's weekends or even whole holidays away to get wild before settling down to married life.
Steve Does anyone from TTR even look at this site to get feed back from their clientel? Im sure if they did they might have a change of heart WRT the amount of large groups of single men coming to the resort. WHO am I kidding $MONEY TALKS$ and we will prob walk.
http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...der-age-males-reason-enough-couples-only.html This is what I posted right after we got back last year. We were prety Pi**ed off.:deadhorse:
Like it or not no matter how much people get upset its never going to change and the only way i could see this changing is by TTR turning into couples only .it comes down to this ,if you don`t like it don`t go . i`m not a small guy by any means and ive lernt never ever go in march it can be scary at times with large groups of drunk males . now i just pick my weeks when i see theres going to be a large group from ccc going alot safer and more fun .
Just been reading this thread and think the british lads have done the typical thing while abroad and caused havoc without a care for others. I have seen this all over Europe and the States and its doesn't help the genuine holiday makers like us (also a group of british lads, professionals, not all single but don't think that makes much of a difference in this scenario). As stated in one of my previous posts, some of us have been Temptation before (back in the blue bay getaway days) and loved the atmosphere and people at the resort. I think generally the younger (21-26yr olds) do go a bit wild, probably the first holiday outside of Europe and think they are untouchable!!! Whereas the older groups (27-28+) professionals have done the Springbreak type holidays and want to relax among similar like-minded individuals (thats us!!). We'll be there 26th March - 2nd April (When we booked i thought the springbreak crowd would of left by this time!), 13 days to go and i hope we can restore some faith in some of you that we not ALL a bunch of idiots!!
Dont tar all of us Uk Guys with the same brush we are just here to party have a good time and drink lots with all ur new friends. I defo a lover not a fighter. :wink3: :uk1::aktion031:
