Folks I didn’t intend to shame that lady or start a huge debate here. My intended message was (a) don’t mess with the Playmakers or staff, they’re just trying to do their job, and (b) if your spouse or friend is in obvious need of assistance, don’t hide out in the back. Apologies for saying more than may have been required to make those points.
I think there is a difference between what was described and simply having too much to drink and doing things that you regret or are embarrassed about the next day. We have all had the latter happen and will probably have those rough days again in the future. But when it devolves into throwing things at people and getting verbally abusive that is a whole different matter. Yes the staff is trained to deal with the overly energetic guest, but no one should have to deal with being hit by flying foot ware. Shaming someone and defining unacceptable behavior is not the same thing. I enjoy the staff and other guests too much to want to see what she did as being just another day at TTR.
I am here now and our usual mantra…nobody knows you, nobody gives a shit is following through. Pleasantly surprised. The whole vibe here is different. I am confident we can take it back. I educated some young ones today in the pool.
