Honestly, you sound a lot like us,(minus what you'll be wearing! I have got to work up my confidence in that department!) and we can't wait. I think like someone said, requesting a quiet room(maybe read trip advisors room advice section) that isn't too far from anything that you can "escape" to. I love the idea of TTR because it seems like there really is something for all of us, or something for every mood you might have, be it :anon: or :bj:
My experience is that it goes up the longer you wait, and there is not a final week sort of fiscal cliff where the prices fall. They don't need to do that. And you know the airlines usually don't... Book it, and go. You can be relaxed and away from people, or right up on stage getting crazy, or any point along that continuum where you find it most comfortable.
Its going to be all about your flights. Looks like £92 per night for the 2 of you from Sept 7th from olotels.com Get booking....or even better, come the week I'm there (with lots of other very cool people!).
Really grateful for all the input here. We're up for a party but will want to chill and relax as well. What's the beach like? Is there a bar on the beach? Loungers? Toilets? Any photos of th beach anyone can share?
Imagine 30 years from now (yes, you are our age). You are lying on your deathbed and your wife asks you "do you have any regets in life". You would respond "Well, I really wish we had went to that Temptations place" !!!
The beach itself is pretty nice as far as white sand and what not. The water leaves a little to be desired.
The beach is pretty seaweedy, but the staff are always trying to clean it up. There are certainly much nicer beaches at other resorts in Cancun, but it certainly works. Since most people hang out at the sexy pool it's nice to go down to the beach sometimes. It's easy to get a lounge chair. I don't remember getting drink service though. There are also hammocks down on the beach which are wonderful for a nap or reading a book! I really enjoyed those
