If the $200 you save by not tipping is what enables you to go on your next vacation, then you are doing a terrible job of "building wealth". What you are doing a great job of is looking like a selfish A**Hole.

WOW... You are an accomplished, 25 year old business student, and a true humanitarian as well. 25 and still in business school? Really?

You got flamed for being a pompous jackass, and for your lack of empathy towards others, most notably the employees of the resort which you claim to be planning to visit, but have never listed any dates.

Isn't it time to get back to playing Minecraft or Hamster Ball in your moms basement? No doubt you have saved piles of cash by continuing to live there rent-free as well.

    We're done with this troll.

You should maybe consider a trip outside the Hotel Zone to get a grip on reality. The hotel staff that wait on you hand and foot and head over heels to ensure YOUR Vacation is as perfect as they can make it within their powers, don't eat steak and lobster each day, they actually struggle to provide a decent living for their families and children. Trade places with them for just 1 week and I'm certain your attitude on "Building Wealth" might just change, but then again I could be wrong by your insensitivity. :aktion054:

We are a family.. and family takes care of one another. BTW.. I'm starting to get aggravated at the way you refer to the staff at TTR and citizens of Mexico by saying stupid and ignorant, bordering VERY close to being racist as hell such as "The Mexicans" so I would be careful with the terms you use.. So.. When are your travel dates? Because I don't even think you are going, and if you are, I don't wanna be anywhere around you!BTW if you actually do go, donate to Chino's cause to help cancer kids see Disney. .. Have a heart and do that at least! I'm finished with you...I can be looking and commenting on threads that actually make a difference. Have a horrible time on your trip!

On a serious note. We go for 10 days and bring $1000 to spend. That includes tipping and any excursions we might do. If we do not spend it all that's the way it goes. I bring it to spend and enjoy doing it.

If you are truly trying to "Grow your wealth" I would suggest you skip this vacation, and stay home and save your money. Whenever you reach your goal in the wealth department then look at going on vacation. Maybe by then you can afford to tip the hard working people that are there to make your vacation that much better a decent tip.

Its pretty sad if you have to save up all year for a trip, it obviously means you are not ready to vacation yet

Ya know, I really like to give people the benefit of the doubt as none of us are perfect and I have been known at times not to be the sharpest tool in the shed, BUT ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME? You have absolutely no concept whatsoever what makes a vacation so special such as one everyone on this thread has experienced at TTR. IT'S THE PEOPLE! Not only the guests but also all the hard working staff that work their butts off in daily intense heat to make YOUR vacation special. You may not know this but the staff at resorts like TTR get paid by the day,not by the hour. Depending on the position many of them work for $9/day! You tip because you WANT TO not because you HAVE to, and they simply EARN IT! They make you WANT to tip them and you apparently don't yet get that but I hope you will once you experience TTR. As others have stated in this thread your comments come across as racist and suggest that the Mexican people somehow are less significant and don't deserve quality tips. I am more willing to tip in that country than in my own country because there are to many damn young people with poor work ethic in the USA who feel that shitty service deserves an automatic 15% tip. Every time I go to Mexico I am amazed how hard working these people are under extremely hot daily conditions both on AND off the resort. With that being said I have never once been treated disrespectfully by a single person, there is always a smile on their face, and they make you feel welcome. I love the Mexican people and am thankful for their hard work that can easily be taken for granted. I truly hope that you have a successful trip and hope that you make more friends there than you have made on your recent threads. You may want to show a bit more appreciation and respect for not only the people on these threads who have attempted to throw some wisdom your way that have yet to absorb, but every Mexican person you meet and take care of you and your girlfriend at TTR. I truly hope your attitude matures but if not I will definitely make certain that Sara69 straightens you out.
