We found that a $2 bill is sort of unique to them, they remember you and make sort of special efforts. It was a lot of fun for a few bucks!

I have heard that twos have some significance down there and so they may not cash them. Can anyone down else comment on this?

We take $200 for tipping for the week, try to go $20/day and then give some lager tips to our favourite workers on our last day/night.

As the staff changes and work different days, take cash with you for the day and in the end tip the favorite servers as you wish! there is no real golden rule at these places

Yes we took $100 in 2 dollar bills that we ordered from the bank and passed them out. The servers at the buffet especially liked them. 2 dollar bills are considered lucky as they are hard to come by.

Most people tip a dollar per round so if they a $2 bill they consider them selves lucky, they just double their tip.

Can't get $2 bills here, but now I know from last trip there's a place we can order low denomination peso bills I think we'll be bringing more pesos as tips.

If you go to your bank, you can ask them to order different currencies. I know here in the US I can go to my bank and get euros, pesos, or GBP... It just takes a week or two depending on the currency.

Yup always go to your bank before you go and get what you need, they have some of the best exchange rates too.

I definitely agree about not making one tip per week, with the staff changing throughout the time you are there. Tipping the pool guy/gal heavily in the am usually gets me over-served before the end of the day. Make sure you are tipping the right server if you want to give a larger tip early in the day and avoid messing with $ after then.

I agree with the comment about treating the wait staff with respect will get you much further than any sort of tip.
