Hi going on my first trip, to anywhere really I'm going to be staying from feb 27th to march 13th. Can anyone help me out with what you tip, when and to who? Hope to meet some people hear before I head down, will make going by myself a little more fun.
Tip the bartenders here and there, leave a buck or two for the maids each day, maybe leave your Tim Horton's coffee mug at the end of the week for someone. The staff in the restaurants are fantastic as well.
If you leave a physical item you have to eave a note says you gave so and so a such and such item so tey can take it home without being accused of stealing. If you do a serach on tipping you will find several threads on the subject with lots of good information that folks are re-typing less and less. Jamie
In the evening, find Pedro at the Patio's Bar. Give him a $20 US the first time you meet, tell him Nick and Autumn from New Years said hello and you will be treated like GOLD. Trust me! Tell him he is "camarone" when you give it to him. During the day at the sexy pool, do the same with Herbert. Same results. One big tip to start your stay and follow up with a couple of 5's here and there, you will be in good hands. You will be in good hands anyways but tell my buddies hello. Have a fantastic trip! Also make friends with Taryn, Niki, and Alfie (Christian) as soon as you get there. Remember to tip them well when you leave as well. N and A
