Tipping Maids

Are gifts or money preferred?

 

We give money for all the staff at the resort. but we also bring down toys and school supplies to drop off for the "Give a toy get a smile" campaign.

There used to be a thread about it from Cancun Nurse I think.

 

i gave the maid a 20.00 tip 2nd day and wow our room really was taken care very well from their on!

We leave $5 a day for the maids and they take great care of our room!

 

We leave three dollars a day for the maid. Most of our tips are given to the entertainment staff and the bartenders.

 

My motto is, "a fiver a day keeps the bedbugs away!"
