I am hiring private transportation to and from the airport. How much do I tip the driver? I probably tip more on the return trip... is that right? I don't want to under/over tip. This is my first time getting private transportation. Usually I just take the packed van that goes from hotel to hotel. Thanks!!
We always tip the guy that calls the transfer vehicle a couple of dollars, then the driver we usually tip $5. We figure $1 per bag and a couple of dollars for getting us there in one piece. You may not have the same driver both ways, so we tip the same for the return trip.
