If you HAVE to go to the presentation due to booking through a company that requires it for the "deal" then make the appointment as early in the day as you can. The presentation is really long and why waste more of your day than you absolutely have to. Be prepared for tons of pressure and "let me call (insert name) over for a second".
Or you could tell them you are a used car salesman. That should scare the SH@T out of them and make them turn and run!!! Sorry, I'm giggling so much inside it actually hurts. Jim
Another good one is that you won the trip from a radio contest and that you are unemployed, that gets you escorted out by hotel policia at least it did when we visited PV lol
Since you are locked into the presentation...take the top shelf booze in the copious quantities they will feed you, put your iPod on and after about 2 hours say no thanks and walk out...hopefully not staggering too much, lol. DO NOT BUY is the only advice I can give. Ask any member how thier A$$ feels now after all the AI fee increases and the RCI limitations on points for airfare.
Actually ask them some pointed questions, I'm sure the folks here can help make a list, like 'How many points do you get? And how many can you use each year?' 'Can you write that down please, I just like to have a list of what you are telling me. Oh, it's in the contract? Can you show me a copy and where it says that?" I'm sure after about 15 minutes they will let you leave, especially if you pretend to have a hearing problem and talk real loud so that others 'prospective clients' hear your questions and begin to ask them themselves. I hope it is easy to avoid the timeshare presentation. Totally a waste of money for the way my wife and I travel so we are absolutely not interested, therefore really don't want to waste even an hour of my vacation listening to there crap...
