This is SO true, and we got great advice from this forum before our first trip so they didn't trick us! They act like they are your ride to the hotel, and really are like pestering gnats, trying to trick people by helping with their luggage and being very friendly. I wear sunglasses and pay no attention to them - some will say insulting or "guilt trip" things if you ignore them (like that would help sell anything - idiots), like "lady, why do you ignore me, I'm your ride to the hotel" - but just move through to go outside!! If you get USA Transfers or any other transportation shuttle, they will be outside the airport, only the timeshare people are inside.
We purchased a week at TTR for $549 total, but had to do the timeshare presentation. Once we sat down and they found out that we do not share the same address, I live in ND...my lil lady lives in Canada, they said we did not have to do the pressure cooker. Had a wonderful 7 days for next to nothing!
Glad we did the timeshare thing.....Has saved us a lot of money over the years. Not for everyone but has worked well for us. I actually think for 1st timers it is a good idea. Before they get into the numbers they show you around the resort so you can see everything. After an hour or so tell them you have heard enough & leave. I do not recommend you buy right away. They will tell you the offer is only good while you are in the Premier office...That is BS, they will take your money anytime. Talk to members while you are there & decide for yourself
