G., Friday, at Super Carnes in front of Soriana (where Italian Coffee used to be), would be fine with me. We can find a sliced guacamole sandwich (delicious, by the way) or something else for Rawkus. If we sit far enough from the TVs, we´ll be OK, it´s a big place, open air. Plenty of taxis in that area, and nobody has far to go to get home, it being near the new geographical center of town, so much in the news these days! Interestingly, I was told that had been the intended location of my university: pity they didn´t stick with that choice, it would have been far more convenient for the students, many of whom must ride buses for two hours to get to it, as it was finally located, at the far north end of Bonampak.
I´m free from 6 PM on, so anytime is fine with me. Others may have to work later, so I suggested 8 PM. Nothing to stop us from gathering a little sooner, though, to hear what everyone´s been up to, recently. I don´t know how many of you may have seen G. in recent months, but if you do, you´re in for a treat. (Check out her blog, if you´re curious about what I´m talking about).
Rawkus, I often get the Arrachera de Pollo pkg. it is quite good and a good deal less than the carne. I don't get many red eat fixes these days.
You guys go ahead, this weekend is my birthday weekend and we are having some family time away at a hotel. We are going to try Now Jade at Puerto Morelos with the kids. I'm going to be fairly busy through end of Oct and Nov weekends with boobs cruises. A pre Christmas meet up, early-mid December is probably going to be best for me.
TJ: I dont eat chicken, haha. Fish or salad will be fine - the main reason Ill be there is to meet people, and to ruin V´s economy, hehe Steve: Happy birthday in advance!!
Happy Birthday, Steve! ___________________ For those of us who live nearby, there are some great deals at the AIs, right now. We stayed at the Now Sapphire for a night recently for $161 USD, total for my wife and I (Steve is staying at the Now Jade, which is probably offering similar, great deals). Now Sapphire is a very lovely place, with outstanding food, but the sea is shallow there, and seaweed is an issue. We had a great time, anyway. Wonderful pool, nice views to the sea, nice staff. Sitting in their very enormous main lounge, under several palapas, and looking out to sea, we wondered what it would cost to stay there, long term....
