Spare a thought for us folks way up in Aberdeen, we have to go to London to get any decent flights, Thomas cook and first choice fly from Glasgow but pretty expensive or you can take KLM Air France or BA from Aberdeen but have two stop overs! This year we flew Thomas cook from Manchester, we paid to pick our own seats and absolutely worth it, opt for the two configuration at the back of the plane, they have plenty room, sharing a four or a three would not have been much fun. Overall the flight was fine, the food was reasonably tasty for airplane food but take water with you, they just didn't do enough drink rounds. TV and movie quality and choice is not great it's the system that runs on a loop so you all have to watch at the same time. We have booked for next August 26th flying Virgin from Gatwick for two weeks £3600 for 2 rooms and 3 people!! Fantastic price with travelbag
Forthe one flying out of Gatwick, this the best deal ever I have been using for the past 2 years.Basically It cost me less to book 1 night at one of the hotels + they keep my car for the whole time + private taxi transfer than a long stay car park at Gatwick,which you can never find! We went with Thomson this year, Thomas cook last year they was more room on the Thomson flight shame there not go there anymore . I would never fly from London to much traveling when coming home
