Biggest misconception for me was kind of an odd one seeing that my husband didn't bother to tell me anything about where we were going. He had done this before and I was pleasantly surprised where went then and I didn't complain but that's a story for another day! When we arrived, I couldn't believe how open and free everyone seemed to be but completely nonjudgmental. I was out of my top and in a thong in about 5 minutes! He knew that wouldn't be an issue. Never felt pressured by anyone to do anything. Spent the first day more at the Quite Pool to get my bearings, I look back now and say "yuck" what a wasted day that was! Now, there are only a few things in my life I truly look forward to and going to TTR to see our FANTASTIC friends we've made is on the top of the list. I'm so glad my husband loves to surprise me! Oh, trust me, I surprise him ALL the time!!!
You can always catch the bus for $1.00 and go down to the public beach near Oasis Sens. It's BEAUTIFUL and only costs a $1.00 each way.
Masha and I were 26 on our first trip, never been on vacation together. We were worried that we would be the ostracized young couple there, and looked down on. That was the farthest thing from the truth, we were taken in by everyone we had the nerve to talk to. Hell night 2 at Patty O's I was grinded (ground?) on by a woman who could have been my grandma, but we laughed and loved every moment of it. We know now we have found our forever destination, and met some incredible friends too. This time around with the new resort we are all first timers again, and I am going into it with no preconceived notions or thoughts, I am taking it all as it comes this time.
It will be what you make it to be. My advice is to book your second trip now! Just pick your next favorite month. This will just save you time I am sure you will just love it if you are like most on this website!
Our first trip in 2012 was after our Motorcycle accident. Our friends that had invited us on a referral had given us the rundown on most things that go on at TTR. We had a little hesitation but decided to go because there would be NO KIDS. Once we got there, we were greeted by Damian and the crew. From then on we knew we had to join. The swinger scene at TTR is there, and we have been approached many times, but never have we felt intimidated to do anything or felt uncomfortable. The only time my wife felt any weirdness was when the group of Scots were prowling in the pool creeping all the women out... Other than that, its been pretty smooth sailing since our first trip.
Actually its very beautiful down there and I recommend everyone to take at least one bus ride while in Cancun, those drivers are f#*kin crazy. T
Before our first trip, we did what some do and read the TA reviews. Mistake. Wife was really apprehensive about going because she had this notion that it was going to be a bunch of middle aged swingers (dont get mad...we love yall too), and even though we like to walk that "flirty sexual line" with others, she still felt we would really be out of place. We have several "lifestyle" friends and have been to many house parties, but for some reason she thought TTR would be a lifestyle party 24/7. She is by NO means a prude, but we just really didnt know back then. So, we book a 4 day weekend Oct 2012 to try it out. Happy to say, after only being there on our first trip in Oct. 2012 for about 6 hours, my wife (Who was by then topless and had done a couple of body shots) says..."we need to start planning a spring trip here!!" So glad we took the chance. 8 trips later, we have made so many great friends and expanded our horizons 100 fold. Come on Oct 29!!!!!!!!
I think we ran into the same group of Scots in 2012. hahaha Obnoxious and rude as hell. Thought I was going to have to make a couple of them tap out...but thankfully didnt have to take it to that level.
We ran into them one more time after that.. We were waiting for our transportation to the airport and saw security escorting them all out. I turned to Cammi and said, I guess they won't be coming back anytime soon. I thought once you get kicked out, its pretty much no more visits..
