I know this isn't a theme or anything but we should make a night a 'sports theme' ie wear a hat or a tshirt or jersey from your favorite team and then break up into groups for drinking games or something. Easy to pack that Yankees or Red Sox hat, property of Chicago bears tshirt or a Soccer ( Football for your Europeans ) shirt. I'm already packing my Toronto Bluejays ballcap anyway. Many years ago when I treeplanted ( I was 19 ) we did a drinking game called boat races where everyone has a 1/2 full styrofoam cup of beer or your drink of choice and there are 2 rows along each side of a long table, each side is a team. one person drinks, the next person can't drink till the previous person finishes their's and puts their cup back on the table. It goes down the table to the other end and the end person has to chug 2 cups and then it goes back up the table towards the start again (each person has 2 cups one for the way down and one for the way back ) . We ended up making it a "best of 7 series" and there were some tipsy people after that ! ... you could always make it best 3/5 or 2/3 so you have time for other drinking games ! It really got things going because everyone is screaming and cheering and then hugging and jumping when they win ! The losers want no part of that and always get a re-match !
we may be able to divide it up , team Canada, Team USA ( or Team USA South, USA East etc) Team British Isles , Team World ... maybe something for International day !
R2 (thats's short for Rogues Roost BTW)....I used to play this in my university days....have also heard it called Tang. We did it with beer mugs. LOL Love the team idea but we'd probably have to make things fair and put some Canadians on Team USA.....lmao
i finally found me some shorts for rainbow day....this was the best i could find. still looking for american flag or red,white and blue ones....
I hear the Europeans like their beer too , that could be a good matchup. Canadians usually have stronger beer than the Yanks but the Yanks are known for their chugging which comes in handy in this competition... at least in all the University Frat movies. They may take the quick league but we may take them in a best of 7 !:beer4:
