The Terrible Wi-Fi Situation at Temptation Resort

I AGREE !!! For the $$$ you spend, it should work much better.

 

its sucked bad in 2011 last time we were there, they did not charge us though so no harm. I'm just having someone else monitor my business email at the office. If its a major customer that has to talk to me I'll get a text on my ATT Iphone, we'll have the little Mexico rate plan set up on it.....otherwise we're on vacation...."uno mas mojito por favor"..(for non spanish speakers that means one more moheeto please) rangehat:

 

Does the wifi access work via a network SID and password code or a web login?
I'm asking as I won't only be surfing I will need wifi for other things like Facebook chat to the kids, the email app, WhatsApp etc.

yes it is but the screens were in spanish

guess you can change them, but they didn't offer

 

We used the free wi-fi at Starbucks last time.

 

It's a web login.

They were english for me last time I used them...

 

Same experience here. And remember you can only use it for 1 device for each purchase so choose wisely.

 

We used it last week and it worked great. We were able to face time with the kids without a problem. Remember that it is wifi and the possibility of dead zones exist especially with big concrete walls and you may have to move out to your patio.

 

Same experience here. My room was near the sexy pool and it worked perfectly. I'd suggest trying a different part of the resort as well. Try the north end of the pool. Well not in the pool. But I'm sure you get the drift!!!

 

Am I right in thinking that being a web login that I won't be able to use things like WhatsApp on my iPhone?
I'm thinking of tethering the iPhone if I'm able to do more than just surf random web pages only.
