this post is bang on! We had similar occurences with our recent trip. It is sad when you have to be afraid to leave your wife/gf alone for fear of being approached by one of these losers. There were members of our group who said the same thing. They had a blast but are not sure if they will go back because of these packs of single guys. I know when we go back it will be outside of March. I don't think its a coincidence that these large groups are mainly coming from a couple of travel operators. I cant imagine these groups going back and spreading the word that its a sure fire lay for single guys there with suburban housewives as such it cant be spreading by word of mouth so it must be that the travel companies that are marketing it as such. I believe that it is incumbent upon TTR to contact these operators and make it clear that the way they are marketing their resort to young single men must be changed. I dont think any of the couples who frequent TTR has a problem with "single guys". In fact in our situation we have had situations where the single guys are very much appreciated as they can be good for the better halfs ego :icon_biggrin:. But the large groups of single guys who seem to think that all of the married women are just waiting for the right guy with the right line to come along are sadly mistaken. Its almost like it is a competition amongst them to see who can be the one to get a married woman. The sad reality is they spend most of their time on the outside looking in so I just cant imagine them wanting to come back and definately not telling their friends to go.

Gee 42 drunk single men...sounds awful....NOT! Honestly I would be happier if it were that than 42 drunken married men. If they were under 30 then yes it gets a bit too spring breaky but as a single female I have always said that if couples don't like groups of rowdy singles choose a different week (you could check ahead) or a different resort that is for couples only. Gosh do we singles ask for limiting couples at TTR if we learn a big group of couples or swingers are arriving? Get over it and as mentioned, if you attend one year and it is the singles out going crazy so be it, next year it could be a different demographic. If they hit on your wives it is no different than when a swinger hits on me while there....just politely say 'no thanks' don't be so anti male singles.

i was there the first part of March....and there was a number of single boys (college age) there...and they were AWFUL!
wouldn't take no for a answer, just assumed because i am a single fem, that i would be all up on them....
if it wasn't for some friends that i met there and on this forum, i probably would decide to go elsewhere for a vacation....
It got so bad that with one little boy not being able to take "no" for an answer that a couple (m/f) came and rescued me and told the little boy to 'F off"......

boys like that (and the massive group of 42) do give single men a really really bad name...
    just sayin...

I have an idea,, raise the age??? and maybe the cost?? and make them go single occupancy?? you'll see the groups of young boys fall tremendously... I'm willing to bet that 42 young guys had 21 rooms and if they were 25 and up,, it might weed out a few .. Just saying,,

I agree .. there is a few of us single guys on this website that go there all the time and have a great time and are respectful and get along with every one and Im sure a few of the guys in those group if not more then a few are really nice guys also , however when you put in a few nice guys into a large group they can be coersed to do things they normally wouldnt do, just to follow the pack or to be accepted with the pack and once you add mass drinking to quantity of single guys, its a mess no matter how old, young or from which country they are from....
I think the hotel walks a fine line with advertising and the promotions also, Not many people would want this place to be couples only, or just a swingers place, I personally love the vibe and the atmosphere that is there, but ive seen some of the promotions they put all over the web and its just half naked woman dancing in cages and on poles, topless woman on the beach and around the pool with sexy music... to me that would lead a bunch of single guys to believe that is whats there and that is what they expect. I am by no means defending any of them or their immature ridiculous actions, Im just saying the hotel needs to find a middle ground somehow before this gets out of hand and people start singling out all single guys and that would be a shame for guys like myself. Just my humble opinion

Couple of years ago I was tempted to go to Hedo 111 so I read a bunch of reviews.
They were filled with similar reviews of swarming by large groups of single males, soccers teams ect...
so I decided to go to TTR. good move so far

Hedo has now closed that resort ??? coincident??

At hedo 11 for passes women pay half of what the males do to encourage a better ratio

Hopefully this is a small glitch and will get resolved

we have a large group going next week so I see no problems

    Facebook

I have found TTR's Facebook page, mainly visited by people that haven't been to TTR yet! Just a thought, perhaps all of us that have experienced the LARGE GROUPS should go on there and voice our opinion, I am sure this is publicity that TTR could do without! Especially as TTR monitor their pages and give answers!

This scenario happening is truely my worst nightmare for my June trip.
Ive been all around Europe and trust me such groups are how shall we say..........unwanted. Ive seen first hand the behaviour and they are just animals a lot of the time.

Ill turn away like ive done in the past and make plenty of US, Canadian friends ...

nobody is anti single male. And in case you havent read the posts in here many of them do NOT respond to a polite "No thanks" and they are very predatory - emboldened by a lot of booze and a pack mentality. As has been mentioned in here before everyone has the right to enjoy their vacation and we as couples should not have to move to another resort just as we are not asking the single guys to do so. Most in here are simply saying that when these guys show up in large groups they become rowdy and disrespectful. In fact most of the respectful single guys in here agree with this.
