what is the old name of "the royal " ? i saw a special on the hotel, and it says new name same great place, i would like to look into this more. but can't find the old name.
Are you talking about the Royal Cancun? If you are, it's only 1 year old and wasn't a former hotel before.
The Royal Sands is on the site of the old Mayan House (or something like that). Probably not what you're thinking of tho - the Mayan House was torn down and the Sands built in 2002.
