I’ve done this twice. It’s really not for your average hangover that can be cured with some coffee and excedrin migraine but for those bad hangovers...it’s the bomb! Doesn’t take too long for the IV drip and not too long to take effect.
An anecdote I heard from today: A guy who had been drinking for 5 days straight and had already checked out was at the buffet and had an 'episode'. He was wheel chaired to the Spa and had the IV treatment within 20 minutes of arrival there. He sobered up very quickly as a result and was able to make his flight. Had it not been for this, he would likely have not made it to the airport, or if he had might well have been refused permission to board.
When we were in TTR in April, I thought that these iv drips would be a serious business opportunity. (There was an article somewhere I read about the craze) I actually sourced the drip whole sale from a supplier in NY. Didn't follow up tho. I know for me, by day 4, I'm hiding from alcohol. If this gives me a second wind, I'm in. If it helps my jet lag, then I'm super in. Does magic Mike need a guinea pig, to give a full report, in exchange for a 50% discount? If I do try it, I'll post my unbiased review here....
Us too. In fact wife discussed with Steve back in August! A missed opportunity....again as wiyh all of them! But appears to be Physician driven in MX.
My TTR/DRM hydration plan is as follows: 1. Get a drink, a real drink. Like, with alcohol in it and stuff. 2. Drink the drink obtained in Step 1, above. 3. Get a drink, a real drink. Like, with alcohol in it and stuff. 4. Drink the drink obtained in Step 3, above. 5. Get a water. 6. Drink the water. 7. Repeat Steps 1-6 the entire day. For me, I find that supplementing the water stops the dehydration, simply using hydration. No need for sticking needles into my parts.
Our Skyy-Sodas were stronger than we mix them at home ourselves. The bartenders and waitresses deserve tips...and they absolutely know who tips and who doesn’t. It’s a win-win. There was an extensive study done by Chinese scientists on the best hangover remedies. Sprite came out number one overall...that’s my go-to.
