we saw a beer chugging contest in sept 2008... just taking a wild shot in the dark that we were there when you were...
That would have been funny. I did run into another backpacker in the netherlands that saw me in a beer drinking competition in Rome so stranger things have happened.
Camera's DO NOT BELONG at the sexy pool or anywhere where there is a lack of clothing period.......you a**holes that bring camera's do not respect others, no matter what you say you're going to take a pic of someone that doesn't know it....don't try to kid yourself or others by saying anything differently.
I respect your opinion and dismiss it entirely. I am willing to engage in a debate based on fact and well thought out opinion. But the second you call people a**holes because of a couple of pictures you lose all credibility. I have also been known to consume too much alcohol and smoke cigarettes in public places, may as well go full evil :ernaehrung023: If you feel that strongly please feel free to e-mail the managment of the resort and not lump everyone into a small minority.
HA! My b-day is also on the 6th. We're still debating on a good date to head back, but the week of my b-day has been tossed around a few times (Apr 31st-May 7th). As far as the main topic is concerned... I still stand by my position in the last version of the thread. Banning cameras will do nothing but cause the creepy guys to become more creative with their pervy ways. Plus, you can't really ban cellphones, and I can't think of a phone made in the last 5 or 6 years that doesn't have a camera on it, so as long as cellphones are capable of snapping pics, you'll always have this as a problem. We, the guests, must police it along with the staff, there's really no other way.
I'm entitled to my opinion as your are also, taking pics around the sexy pool was forbidden when we were down there for good reason. The people with camera's that we encountered normally had bad intentions, they were a**holes, I personally doubt that has changed. You are invading peoples privacy with camera's period. I was very surprised, as well as disappointed to see partial nudity on this site........don't think we will return to TTR if camera's are allowed by the sexy pool or on lingerie nite......so it's costing them business.
I never recalled cameras being banned from poolside and have been going since April of 2006 myself, but I do agree with cameras being banned from the lingere casino. Some of those outfits are really provocative. The pool is essentially a public place on the resort and while I don't agree with taking pictures of strangers if you are taking pictures of friends and strangers happen to get into the shot then that's something that is a risk if you decide to go topless in public. Maybe there were a group of especially bad apples when you went but I am certain that the majority of people don't fit the a**hole description you are passing out so cavalierly.
knowing management there............ i got a left testicle a bag of chips and i pretty orange towel that says "they dont geive a shit" just sayn rob ps i vote for a ban of every f'n miserable dumb ass rule/law that is created because of inconsiderate people - trust me - we got plenty damn rules and laws as it is
