Crack head Jim... w/o cameras our vacations are only flashbacks like a LSD trip.. respect others as they hopefully respect you. This message is brought to you by our sponser...
Bottom Line is this: TTR management isn't going to ban cameras nor are they going to ban single guys. (Not that I'd want either of those.) It'd be nice if they could ban disrespectful people, but unless there was an "I'm a disrespectful jerk who wants to sneak around taking pix" box you had to check...just kidding. There's of course no way to even know who's going to act like a jerk with a camera in advance. Approaching people sneaking pix is one solution. I know people have mentioned specific lurker types to Chinos and he's dealt with the problem. The resort IS aware that it's an issue. There's no easy solution unfortunately. I doubt the people on this forum are the problem, and I know the many single guys Marilyn & I have met on many visits have certainly not been the problem. Our most recent visit (October) we didn't really see much inappropriate camera use. I think it's less of a problem than these multiple camera debate threads make it appear, in most cases.
Steve I can say that at least you and I agree. I would also say that people should be able to see there isn't much left of this old dead horse. hcube
wow.. this topic just doesn't die *L*.. nor do the same arguments. just to make things clear... 1. Single guys are not to problem. Assholes (both married and single) are the problem. 2. Temptations (in the distant past) did not allow cameras to be used around the sexy pool or in nice shoes. It was controlled by the staff and security. 3. If Hedonism can create no camera areas and enforce it so can Temptations. 4. It deserves repeating. Single guys are NOT the problem.
Yes, all fully clothing optional resorts ban camera use... and "regular" clothed resorts allow full reign of camera use... but TTR is one of those odd gems that fall in between allowing topless and camera use. We've said before, that we want memories so we enjoy being able to have our camera "in the the action", we also don't topless pictures spread around (intentionally or not) so we simply choose to keep tops on. As a frequent C/O resort travelers, that is too bad since we are very comfortable in our skin, but that's a decision we've made to allow us to still have a blast while settling in to the culture and rules of TTR as they are now. It doesn't bother us either way...
Rhonda and I are making our first trip to Temptations this March. I've been seeing all this camera debate.. I'm pretty sure we would'nt want to see our pics plastered everywhere, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if it happened.. We have been to topless places and a couple of nude places and some cameras were there. I would rather us not end up on the web or Facebook pics while we are having fun. Rhonda has been topless at places where she felt comfortable and kept her top on when she didn't.. Having a few pics isn't that big a deal, but having some asshole follow you around with a camera is. We have been to Hippy Hollow in Austin and there were some cameras there.. I guess if we were TOO worried about it we would stay home where our pool has privacy fences around it. Mostly we just want to come to Temptations and have fun....Don't really want to see fights over cameras.
Just came back from TTR and have noticed a significant drop in camera use since last year. Banning cameras at the lingera casino night was a big success. A lot more particpation versus last year.( A lot more skin to thanks to Chino) All in all most people respected others when taking pictures.
