just got back in town about an hour ago and even my camera friendly ass was in total agreement with les..............as les had very politely asked the scum bag to "please quit taking pictures of our group" the guy would not quit and would not let it go and when the security people stepped outside i immediately got out of the pool and kicked the dudes ass for being such a dick. ..............lol just kidding i just explained to the two cops what had happened and they pretty much kept an eye on the scum bag the rest of the day and as far as i know he did not take any more pics of the group rob/t
Lori and I just missed the scum bag. We just got to see everyone give him a good send off when he left the pool for the day. But I did notice on Monday a group of asian people taking pictures of the women. I wanted to say something to them but I don't think they would have understood me anyway!
Hey Dave & Rosa, We didn't post anything to you because we were going to call you last night, but our daughter and future son-in-law showed up (and stayed way too late for us worn out old people). We'll give you a shout tonight! By the way, you know we had a terrific time with you guys, tooooo!!!! Hugs, Janice
There's pros and cons to this debate. Personally, I don't mind cameras unless the person behind it is being a creepy perv. If you want a pic, ask for it and a lot of people will grant you that. I don't mind them during lingere and sexy pj night as I wanna see just what kind of a fool I looked like with just a sock on my johnson (hehe). The few pics I have are treasured memories I revisit from time to time and I think they are for many of us here. An outright ban on cameras won't stop anything either, guys. Like many of you, we have kids, 4 of them in fact. We keep our cellphones near us at all times when we're at TTR and those phones have camera's on them. There's no point in banning cameras as long as cameraphones are as ubiqutous as a swimsuit. There are phones out there that you can take pics from and no one would ever be the wiser, like my old Hitach G1000 PDA phone with it's 180 degree swivel mounted camera. Were I a creepy perv, I coul sit on a chair at the sexy pool and take as many pics as I could fit onto a 2GB card and no one would be the wiser. Have a look at this: This is a fully functional ink pen that contains a camera/video recorder and USB plug. That is the teeeniest camera I've seen so far. Stick it on top of a netbook and sit by the sexy pool and snap pics of everything, again no one's the wiser. Ban cameras and stuff like this will make it' s way into TTR. I guarantee that. What really needs to happen is a community effort similar to what us2933 wrote about.
Would a camera ban in nice shoes even be necessary anymore for the most part? Most nights they bring in dancers and performers there is no more nice legs or quest (anything goes). The only night that anything remotely revealing happens is lingerie night. Sorry, kind of bitter that they put no effort at all in the night time activities anymore.
And that's my sole reason for the camera ban in nice shoes. More of those "shy" people generally come out of their shell when they think no one is going to be taking pictures. Can you cut out cameras all together? Nope..... will everyone go out and buy a pen camera?.. Nope. There will always be someone who for some reason has to sneak a camera in and take pics. But they aren't that numerous. It's like here in Ontario they're banning talking on cellphones while driving. Will that stop everyone?.... Nope... will they catch everyone?.. Nope... Will there be less people talking on their cell while driving? For sure.
agreed - this afternoon i will be posting my day 4 of the "labor of love trip report" where i address that same concern the best rob
