For YEARS, Hedo II Fans in Jamaica have claimed that the bad food, lack of hot water and general disrepair of the resort didn't matter at all!! It was the great people that everyone went far. With that in mind, just find some vacant Motel 6 in South Florida (with a huge pool) and "rebrand" it!!!
With this said, it will have to be a 3.5 - 4 star resort and we will have to charge good money hehe. If I was an investor, I would not expect to go for free, I would pay the expenses without question. RULE #1 DONT STEAL THE PEAS! What this means, is that for every can of peas you take out of your store, you have to sell 5 cans to replace that one can. Assuming about a 50 cents cost, and 10 cent profit per can. So if you do all your shopping at YOUR store, you spend 200 bucks, you now have to sell 2000 in additional stuff to recupe that which you STOLE. So yes, As an investor, I would expect to pay something. lets buy the hotel already!
Steve in Canada it called a condo association with condo fees..and there is an elected board of directors voted in to manage things.. hmm it could work.. haha!.. or its called a time share.. haha!
